Referee Watch – Craig Pawson
Barring any late changes, Craig Pawson will be in the middle for Blues’ Championship game against Watford at St Andrews today. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr Pawson has refereed twenty-four games this season, showing a total of sixty-eight yellow cards and three reds. Of those games, eleven have been in the Championship and in those games Mr Pawson has shown thirty yellow cards.
Last Blues Game Refereed
The last Blues game that Mr Pawson took charge of was the 1-1 draw with Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on November 27. In that game Mr Pawson booked two players – Chris Basham of Blackpool and Papa Bouba Diop of Blues. Colin Tattum didn’t mention him in his match report which is probably a positive reflection of Mr Pawson’s performance.
Last Championship Game Refereed
The last Championship game that Mr Pawson was in the middle for was the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest by Bristol City at Ashton Gate on February 9. In this game Mr Pawson showed two yellow cards – to Greg Cunningham of Bristol City and to Greg Halford of Nottingham Forest. Mr Pawson’s performance isn’t mentioned in either of the match reports by the local press of Bristol or Nottingham which I take to be a good thing.

I think that should read “against Watford” not “against Charlton”. Unless I’ve become Bill Murray and not realised in which case please disregard this.
That’s what I get for rushing…
