De Fanti and Blues
Former Sunderland Director of Football Roberto De Fanti has been connected by the Sunday People with purchasing a Championship club to become a feeder club for Lazio. The Italian agent was sacked from his role with the Black Cats in January after just seven months.

Thorpe Returns
Birmingham City swooped to sign Tom Thorpe again on loan from Manchester United before the loan deadline passed yesterday. Thorpe originally signed for Blues on loan back at the end of January but injury curtailed his debut after just fourteen minutes.

Carson Yeung Files Appeal
Carson Yeung today has officially lodged his appeal against his money laundering conviction. The 54-year-old former Blues supremo was convicted of five counts of money laundering on March 3 and sentenced to six years imprisonment.

Blues Youngsters offered new deals
Birmingham City confirmed yesterday that new deals have been offered to eight second-year scholars. Four will be offered one year professional deals while the other four will be offered third year scholar terms. With Reece Brown and Demarai Gray already signed up it represents 100% retention of the age group.

Six Years For Carson
Carson Yeung has been sentenced to six years in prison today after being found guilty on five counts of money laundering. In the meantime, Birmingham International Holdings have pulled out of the deal to sell 12% of BCFC to Beijing Liangzhu after the media company based in the Chinese capital couldn’t come up with the money.

Postcards from HK: Last Minute Nerves
