Referee Watch – Neil Swarbrick
Barring any late changes, Neil Swarbrick of Lancashire will be in the middle for Blues’ fourth round FA Cup tie against Swansea City at St Andrews today. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr Swarbrick has taken charge of eighteen games so far this season, showing eighteen yellow cards and one red card. Unlike many of the referees in Blues’ matches this season, the majority of Mr Swarbricks’ games have been in the top flight.
Last Blues Match Refereed
The last game involving Blues Mr Swarbrick officiated in was the match between Blues and Coventry at the Ricoh Stadium in March 2012 which finished 1-1. In that game Mr Swarbrick booked two players – Jordan Clarke and Alex Nimely of Coventry – and sent off Jordon Mutch of Blues who I said in my match reflections deserved it.
Suspension Watch
1 red card – Wade Elliott (three match suspension served), Kyle Bartley (one match suspension served)
9 yellow cards – Paul Robinson (one match suspension served)
4 yellow cards – Kyle Bartley
3 yellow cards – Neal Eardley, Olly Lee, Tom Adeyemi, Lee Novak, and Jonathan Spector
2 yellow cards – Paul Caddis, Callum Reilly, Nikola Zigic, Mitch Hancox, and Shane Ferguson
1 yellow card – Darren Ambrose, Koby Arthur, Wade Elliott, Matt Green, Colin Doyle, David Murphy, Darren Randolph, Hayden Mullins, Chris Burke and Andrew Shinnie
The “cut-off” point where a fifth yellow card will no longer attract a suspension is after December 31 2013 and the point where a tenth yellow card will no longer attract a suspension is after April 13 2014.

like you say daniel if mutch deserved cannot argue with that
*it
it going to be very tricky with the amount of rain that’s fallen, and if the forecast is simpler throughout the day, It going to make to make the football game extremely testing for the ref imo. those 50/50 tackles will need to be spot on…….could see some yellows dished or even a red…………..on top of that the weather is the one that can win game, may make the game ugley to win………..
from his stats he appears to give one yellow every game………….heaven
