Reduction in Capacities
Birmingham City confirmed in the last week that the capacity of St Andrew’s for the derby game will be set at just 25,000 – some 4,500 short of the segregated capacity in the ground. As one could imagine this has caused some ructions on messageboards – especially after Blues were given the smallest allocation of tickets possible in last year’s League Cup game across the expressway.

Managers and Them
It’s that time of year again when Gary Rowett is linked to the once again vacant manager post across the expressway as their latest saviour fails miserably. For the fourth time in less than a year, they’re changing manager – and as you might expect of a fanbase which is oh so slightly obsessed with […]

The Birmingham Mail reported today on social media efforts to have a minute’s applause during the upcoming match against Preston to mark the passing of seven-year-old Jack Edwards from leukaemia.

New Additions Making The Difference
Birmingham City won a spirited game against Sheffield Wednesday at St Andrew’s yesterday, coming back from a goal down to take the three points in injury time. A penalty from Clayton Donaldson and a first goal from Lukas Jutkiewicz were enough to seal the points.

Positive Intent from Paul Caddis
It must be hard to be a player who has been completely bombed from a football squad. I know people will talk about how they wouldn’t mind sitting on their backside for a few thousand quid a week but I can’t help but feel that I’d think my life was wasting away in front of me in that position.

The Takeover: What Should We Expect?
With news breaking on Thursday that the longest running takeover saga in football might actually be completed in six weeks or so, I got asked the usual slew of questions on social media about who Paul Suen/Trillion Trophy Asia are, what their intentions are and whether Blues are going to spend a huge amount of money on transfers in January.

Save the Saviour?
Paul Caddis completed 90 minutes today for Blues Development Squad as they won their PDL clash with Ipswich 3-2 at Playford Road. The full-back has only featured in the first team once this season, playing wide right in the 1-0 extra time loss to Oxford United in the EFL Cup.

Is Storer The Striker Solution?
Jack Storer took his tally to seven in six pre-season games against Kidderminster Harriers, rounding off a pre-season campaign that has seen him thrust into the limelight and potentially Gary Rowett’s selection plans. With Blues apparently pursuing a striker all summer, has the solution been under our nose the whole time?

The Caddis Controversy
As the season draws it near one thing that seems to have been prevalent over Blues pre-season campaign has been Gary Rowett’s stubborn insistence on playing any other right-back than Paul Caddis. The Scottish defender has racked up 149 league appearances for Blues but there is no guarantee his 150th will come on Saturday against Cardiff.

Time, Money and Youth
Birmingham City take on Roda JC Kerkrade in their final warm-up before the new season starts today, having failed to add any further players to the team in the last two weeks. Gary Rowett has bemoaned a culture of “overpaying” for players as a reason for not being able to bring in Che Adams from Sheffield United with the club having had two bids knocked back.
