Ennui – Oxford Reflections
Birmingham City slipped to an embarrassing 1-0 defeat after extra time to League One side Oxford United in the EFL Cup last night. A 120th minute goal from Liam Sercombe was all that separated the two sides and came just as the match looked to be headed for penalties.

The Bromsgrove Pulis – Cardiff Reflections
Birmingham City started their league campaign at St Andrew’s with a goalless draw against Cardiff City. In a game where chances for the home side were at a premium, it once again took the introduction of some of the younger members of the squad for Blues to look like scoring.

Moors Deny Young Blues in Senior Cup Final
A Darryl Knights brace was enough to win Solihull Moors the Birmingham Senior Cup and complete a double season for Marcus Bignot’s men. Blues had made plenty of chances in the second half and hit the woodwork twice but couldn’t finish the National League North Champions.

Burnley Reflections
Birmingham City lost 2-1 at home for the third successive game, this time going down to goals from George Boyd and Andre Gray. Jacques Maghoma had got the Blues back on terms but it wasn’t enough to get a share of the points.

Leeds Reflections
Blues streak of recent poor form at home continued with a 2-1 defeat to a Leeds side that finished with ten men after Alex Mowatt was sent off in injury time. Stuart Dallas scored either side of half time to give Steve Evans’ men a 2-0 lead, with Clayton Donaldson scoring Blues’ reply.

Fulham Reflections
Birmingham City were held to a frustrating draw at home to Fulham in a game that has rocked their chances of a late playoff push. Michael Morrison’s header cancelled out Rohan Ince’s first half opener but despite throwing everything that they could at the Cottagers’ back line, once again Blues were restricted to a single point.
