How the Blues Trust Are Aiding the Sale of the Club

In their recent announcement with respect to further bids for Birmingham City, the final section about “Dealing Disclosures” seems to have gone unnoticed by most. However, this section is substantial proof that work done by the Blues Trust in reporting discrepancies to the HK authorities is having an effect.

It’s been reported in the Birmingham Mail today that Panos Pavlakis is trying to push forwards the sale of Birmingham City in recent weeks, delivering presentations with finance director Roger Lloyd to various parties in an effort interest someone enough to make a bid.

Blues Trust Secure ACV Listing

The Blues Trust announced at their AGM on Saturday that the council have agreed to list St Andrews Stadium as an asset of community value. The listing which lasts for five years and is subject to appeal will mean that the Trust will be notified of any potential change of ownership and can, if requested, be given up to six months to come up with a bid of their own.

Securing St Andrews

One of the frequent questions I see amidst this current period of woe for Birmingham City asks if the current board can sell St Andrews. The ground, which has been home to Blues since Boxing Day 1906 is one of the few remaining assets that the club can call as its own and I think it’s understandable that fans are worried it could be sold.
