Hillsborough a Happy Hunting Ground? Sheffield Wednesday Preview
Birmingham City make the trip north today to face Sheffield Wednesday in what could be a crunch match in the end of season shakeup.
Sheffield Wednesday
Stuart Gray’s men lie two places and two points ahead of Blues in the Championship table, having played a game less. Wednesday have lost five of their last seven games in all competitions, and have scored just two goals in their last four games. They have won just one in their last four home games in all competitions also.
Jacques Maghoma is out having damaged ligaments in the midweek defeat to Wigan but loanees Sam Hutchinson and Leon Best have extended their stays with the Owls.
Blues
Callum Reilly has returned to training after gaining in an injury in the run up to the Blackpool game but Mitch Hancox has been now pretty much ruled out of the remainder of the campaign. There are no fresh injury worries after Wednesday’s game.
Clark may wish to make a change or two, bringing in Albert Rusnak or Jordon Ibe on the left for the ineffective Shinnie whilst Olly Lee may also be dropped. Paul Robinson is now just two yellow cards away from a three match ban.
I hope that our form from the last half hour will translate to this game; coupled with the way we have been playing away we could win this one – and those three points would be much needed.
