Referee Watch – Iain Williamson
Barring any late changes, Iain Williamson of Berkshire will be in the middle for Blues’ final Championship game against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium today. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr Williamson has taken charge of twenty-five games so far this season. In those games he has shown sixty-nine yellow cards and a single red. Of those matches, eight have been in the Championship and in those games Mr Williamson has dished out twenty-one cautions.
Last Blues Game Refereed
The last game involving Blues Mr Williamson took charge of was way back on Boxing Day 2008, when Blues beat Ipswich 1-0 away at Portman Road thanks to a James McFadden penalty. Mr Williamson booked five players that day – Moritz Volz, Tommy Miller and Alan Quinn of Ipswich and Stuart Parnaby and Liam Ridgewell of Blues.
Last Championship Game Refereed
The last game at this level Mr Williamson was in the middle for was last week’s game between Huddersfield and Leicester City. In that game he kept his cards in his pocket, booking no-one.

The “cut-off” point where a fifth yellow card will no longer attract a suspension is after December 31 2013 and the point where a tenth yellow card will no longer attract a suspension is after April 13 2014. If a player collects fifteen yellow cards before the end of the season they will attract a three match ban.

i hope he is fair in his decision making today, and we have a good omen in 2008 when he last ref’ed us…. today we need all the help we can get even divine help if possible…….kro
