Peter Pannu Quits
Peter Pannu has quit his positions on both the BCFC board and the UK parent Birmingham City PLC today, according to an announcement on the official Birmingham City website.
The announcement confirms that Pannu has resigned with immediate effect. However, Pannu remains Executive Director, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of BIH.
The statement from the club is incredibly brief and I think we should note that the lack of gratitude for his efforts and/or services shows the esteem Pannu was held in at the club at the time of his departure. Whether this will translate to him stepping down from the parent company and walking away altogether is another question.

If he is not re elected he will off the board anyway.
Smell the coffee Pannu and walk.
Dan,
This is down to your efforts and exposing Pannuf or the leech he was. Well done mate. Now to get him out of BIHL.
Daniel (or anybody else).
Do you have any idea what this could mean at this AGM which is scheduled for 23 December?
I would like to place on record that i thank peter pannu for all his hard work he has earned every penny of his salary! (i’m assuming he’ll read this) :-)
All gearing up for a takeover
No disrespect, Marky, but haven’t we heard about takeovers at Blues being in the offing too many times?
no chance, more chance of blues getting to the play offs
yeung back soon and sadly he will not sell
I would like to thank Porky Peter for all he has done from the heart of my bottom……I hope his balls turn into bicycle wheels and cycle up his ars****e
“The Heart of my Bottom” – I’m definitely using that one :)
It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas…………….
Never mind investigating what is happening in the St Andrew’s boardroom, the “Mail” prefers running a story headed something like “Aston Villa fans find evidence that Gary Rowett was a Villa fan”. How much more petty, childish and anti-Blues can this embarrassing rag get? Such craven stupidity beggars belief.
boycott the mail including their website
all the news i need on bcfc is on here, tom ross, twitter or newsnow links excluding the mail
In sporting terms that rag always has been slavishly pro-villa but today it has gone so far as to become the virtual mouthpiece of a desperate and rather childish bunch of Lower Grounders who seem to think Gary Rowett should somehow be “their man” as he attended a couple of their matches in the distant past.
The mail is horrendous, all of their coverage important to blues fans is copied and pasted from Often Partisan.
Completely in agreement that I’d rather be informed via OP, bbc, sky sports and other national outlets
to be fair on GR,i can understand he’s embarrassment in not wanting to admit to such moments of madness in his youth. it must have been horrifying to have to live with something so awful in his past.
its good knowing it didn’t hold him back and he’s been able to move on after such a trauma.
what does this mean got the feeling that the timeing of this means theres somthing going on under the carpet
means he’s had to step aside probably so that bihl can start trading again, nothing else.
he may well be back at BCFC just like politicians that resign but months later get a seat yet again in the cabinet.
he is still a director at bihl where the real power is, at the end of the day bcfc do what bihl tell them to do
Me and my family would like to wish mr pannu and his lovely family a very happy Xmas and a prosperous new year….now if the rest of you can piss off I will also wish you exactly the same thing and that is a promise !!! Kro.
My money is on Pannu remaining a director of BIHL. After all, he represents 48% of the shareholders votes…only needs a fraction more! I’m talking Yeung and Wang Li here.
Good riddance to a man who only ever seem to want to line his own pockets. You won’t be missed and I only hope that at some point in the near future the rest of your cronies follow you. Peter your place in future at Birmingham City will always be remembered for the shame, embarrassment that you bought to this club. You will never know what Birmingham City means to the supporters or the history. People like you come and go where as the fans will be here for many years to come. You don’t know the meaning of the word passion or loyalty so close the door on your way out and don’t ever come back.
After what what pp said regarding op and person who he said was relating information at st Andrews I don’t think he had a lot of choice but resign I hope I’m wrong but I still think he holds some sway with cy regarding bih but at least he’s left bcfc onward and upward we hope kro
I still think a takeover is way off and well in to the future because Carson ain’t letting go without a fight and again is already getting his family in on the act… I don’t think pannu going makes a y difference what so ever IMO. Kro.
this will certainly make the 23th December interesting if he holds on or if the case maybe not……
love to be a fly on the wall when this comes around…..

Peter Pan sling your hook all the way back to never never land ,just the season for a pantomime with a big bald headed villain in it
Daniel just out of interest would you block PP if he continued to use your blog??
knowing him he will turn uo on im a celebrity get me out of here although he is already full of crap seeya
I like that idea. Get him to eat sh*t every bushtucker trial… then vote him out again.
Pannu, like a lame horse has been put down.
It means nothing. We have to hope that he doesn’t get re elected on the 23rd.
Fabulous news Dan and again thanks for exposing the real Pannu.
Arrogant-Self Obsessed-Devious -Manipulative and another four letter word which forms part of a woman’s anatomy..
Hopefully you will get kicked off the BIH board now!
Hair?
AussieBlue.
Definitely not hair but in the right area.
Have another go,
Lol
Ooo-err, I’m not good at this sort of thing Art… would it be knee?
End of a strange dream…at least hopefully the end. Please sell the club to a Brit…….
Like David Sullivan?
This is terrible news i’m absolutely heartbroken, he was the best thing to ever happen to Blues & this has totally ruined my xmas……………NOT REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! See ya Pete & thanks for nothing
Good riddance too Hong Kongs trash,a man that got very lucky and rich on the back of bcfc I personally hope you choke on the back of the money you made from our club,I can’t understand that a man who is supposed to a “barrister” and I will use that term lightly, and CEO and MD of bihl/bcfc can conduct himself so poorly and unprofessionally like he has in recent weeks,he has been truly been found out for what he is (trash),he needs to get on a basic spelling course before he gets into any other line of work after his recent internet rants (a barrister that can’t spell ffs)the man is a joke…hopefully no one in Hong Kong will touch him with a barge pole now…
Daniel 1 pannu 0
Panos 1 pannu 0.
Just got in from a hard days work and I have just read this and I feel better already !
Noticed you hadn’t got the balls to come to Birmingham and resign in person mr pannu which is just as well as you will never be welcome.
Nobody is bigger than our football club and its passionate fans and its about time you understood that. kro. dnm.
Who is he going to get cannibalise his PC and laptop then?
Well done Daniel, and I had to laugh at some of the comments! Could definitely use a like button!
Is this making room for carson misses to come on board
A step in the right direction. I will feel much more comfortable if he is booted off the BIHL board.
ding dong the wicked witch is dead!!
the biggest w*nker in the history of Birmingham City fc has left the building, see Ya fatcake
Scum like this never go easily or without a fight, so no cigars yet – will be very interesting to see what happens on the 23rd. I wonder whether Carson is starting to realise the toxicity of the Pannu connection, and wehther it might be in his own interests to jettison Pannu back to the sty he came from.
In the style of Alan Sugar….
Peter, you came into this process with some very strong claims of being a leading international executive with strong business acumen. Yet throughout this process, you have displayed breathtaking incompetence, coupled with complete disregard and contempt for the key stakeholders. You claim to be a barrister yet have shot yourself in the foot repeatedly with public statements that could have landed both you and the club in potentially hot water. Worse still, your incompetence has been matched only by your arrogance throughout the whole process.
So, for this reason Peter……YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!!
Oh well back to Master Chef Peter!!
My god your right, he does look like him doesn’t he?!!
Nice one, Dan!
Who do you fancy in the next round?
Probably be an anti-climax, whoever it is……
More Power to your Pen
Sounds like Peter Pan is toying with us a little here, resign from the front line (are front line deserters still shot by the way?) but continue to pull (some) strings in HK. As Dan says he still holds executive positions on the BIH Board, this is where we need him to sling his hook (pun intended). At least its a step in the right direction.
Thanks Mr Pannu — you started off ok in the job but things went down hill after relegation. Playing devil’s advocate, I’m sure you think you’ve had a tough time, what with the financial squeeze after relegation, Carson getting banged up and the Chinese culture of secrecy. On the other hand, you’ve really alienated the fans in Birmingham and failed to communicate clearly enough or often enough.
At least with PP gone from our club the air will smell better around B9.
The noticeably terse statement on the BCFC website announcing Pannu’s resignation from the board and also BCFC PLC is very revealing. However, those who run BIHL (and this includes Pannu) are sadly far from gone.
I’m told on getting home from the match today that it was announced by Tom Ross on his programme this afternoon that BIHL havd said that BCFC is NOT for sale. Definitely NOT. It seems that the better the team does the less chance the club has of beiing sold. Denarie Gray up for sale next after today’s display?
Interesting official statistic from BBC Sport Birmingham City website today is that Reading had 65% of the posession, just as we have had on previous occaions when the opposition scored and we didn’t. Proof positive that you must put your chances away when they come. Our Rowett which art in heaven……………
