Man Arrested In Connection With Misappopriated HK$30M
News has broken in the last hour that a 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged misappropriation of above HK$30M in Hong Kong. This follows an announcement made to the stock exchange yesterday that BIH had reported the matter to the police.
Multiple sources in Hong Kong have affirmed the arrested man to be Jerry Ko, who was formerly compliance officer with the company. Appointed in August 2013, Ko was brought in to help improve the corporate governance of the holding company prior to it being relisted on the stock exchange in February 2014.
No further details are available at this time and due to the sensitive nature of this post I have disabled comments. Please note that Ko being arrested does not automatically make him guilty and that every man is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
