Video Podcast – The Long Wait

It looks like the long wait to hear something on the sale of Birmingham City FC is going to continue for a little while longer – but at least on the pitch things are going well.

Key Points:

  • Ernst and Young are working to a process and we will hear something with a month at least as they are to update us that frequently
  • Diego Fabbrini is ace but Clayton Donaldson is better
  • Come watch Blues Ladies for a more grassroots experience

    Dan,

What happened to the investigation into the misappropriation of funds? Was a timescale ever set for the investigation and it is likely to be soon?

  • Mitchell says:

It is a strange period now as we await news of preferred bidders. The last few weeks have been a bit of o ‘thrill a minute’ stuff with daily events emerging almost before our eyes! However, good time to reflect and for once relax and enjoy a stress free end of season. I, for one do not mind this so called meaningless end to the season. Have had enough of that to last ten years. Still only getting heartbeats down from Boltonitis!

    • Hillfield Blues says:

Absolutely spot on. Let’s bask in the sunshine of some mid table security and watch some other poor bleeders endure it. More exited watching off field events unfold to tbh!

  • Tony E says:

I notice on twitter you state that a creditor is seeking a wind up petition against BIH, any ideas how long before we hear more from Hong Kong about this and is it possible that this is CY trying another one of his little party tricks.

  • StaffsBlue says:

What I would like to know Mr Ivery… is do you own a Blues cap and if so, do you ever wear it? ;) Enjoyed the video again.. you’re getting good at it now.

  • Stevie W says:

Not bad Dan need to get the audio pick up sorted a little bit. could do with a bit of wall cover maybe a Blues flag or scarves. Nowt wrong with the cap but if you have a stock of favourites maybe you should start swapping them around a bit.

As for content there is nothing to shake the foundations, all quiet on the Eastern Front.

I am intrigued by Tony E’s post above on a creditor seeking a wind up petition though, whats the SP on that then????

  • Blue Tsunami says:

Thanks for update Dan, hope you are right about the video being obsolete today!
Not likely though, I think there are too many skeletons to be sorted first. Agree about Diego and Clayton, a quick resolution to ownership may help us keep Diego ?
Just a comment on the ladies, I don’t get to see them but ive coached ladies hockey for many years and the skills and determination on show is just as good as the men. They train as hard, play as hard and probably party harder. Ladies sports is well worth watching.

  • Kazakblue says:

    Hi everyone,

Daniel, any progress on getting a Blues Trust member on your video ?.

  • Agent McLeish says:

Maybe this hat for the next video? http://www.zazzle.co.uk/bosnia_and_herzegovina_bih_trucker_hat-148823117762421873
    Available in several colours :)

Great support for the ladies, well done. Another reason to go – Kirsty Linnett.

  • Steve says:

Can someone help? Whenever I try to watch any of these podcasts on my kindle I can’t get any sound. All other videos on other sites e.g. Facebook Youtube are fine any suggestions would be helpful

  • DoctorD says:

As Dan says, buy his book if you haven’t already. It’s only a tenner. A tenner FFS. It’s been a labour of love I’d say. It’s not going to win the Nobel prize for literature, but it’s got a tonne of information in it.

  • Andrew says:

I hate standing up thinking there’s gonna be a goal then having to sit down its a bit of a come down, like when donaldsons shot got cleared off the line. But in light of dimmi grays resurgence of form, I think the reason for that might be due to fabrini coming in, just really to help take the spotlight away from him and carry some of the attacking weight of the team off of the 18 year olds shoulders. I think gary needs to be careful in how he manages him because he could be a real star if we develop him correctly!

I think most blues fans are waiting so eagerly in anticipation of any news due to how long we’ve had to wait to endure much disappointment from the current owners. With how well the team has performed in the last few months it would just be great to see a new fresh season where all fans are backing the team full of hope and confidence that we have the opportunity to do well, something that has been robbed of us in recent times. A sale couldn’t happen sooner for most and it would be nice but i think we dont want to see a repeat situation so it must be the right one.

Are the subtitles deliberately meant to be so humorous?

  • Lee says:

    womens football is utter sh*te

  • Mitchell says:

Many bluenoses will be happy with the latest expectancy of news of prospective buyers. Various reports indicate as early as next week.If this is true, then I would imagine a real surge in new season tickets.

  • blue n bad says:

I keep hearing about `preferred bidders` being announced and news on a potential sale being around the corner. Now i am obviously missing something but has Mr Yeung decided to sell because last time i looked he was grimly hanging on to BIHL/BCFC for all its` worth. Apologies for being a bit thick but what has changed? Has it been taken out of his hands by E & Y?
