Video Podcast: The Accounts
This week I talk about the release of the Birmingham International Holdings interim accounts and the implication those have on the sale of Birmingham City FC.
Key Points
- Accounts show BIH have done better than this time last season and that they have money in the bank
- Are we looking at a gradual transition rather than a sale of BCFC?
- Zigic and the Birmingham Senior Cup – a fitting end to a good Blues career

Thanks for the update as always ! Minor correction – it £7.5 million (89818000 HKD) in the bank not £750,000 !
Are they audited accounts?
No, interim accounts do not require auditing
Cy won’t sell, bihl will seek new investors, backing will be given to Rowett to some extent and cy will hope rowett can work his magic and get us into the playoffs and reach the land of milk and honey. So no new owners for next season at least. Well that’s the way I see it panning out
That sounds about right, if you ask me. These things take a looong time.
Dan Thanks. As you say quite boring really but pleasant reading all the same for someone who is a Bluenose and also someone who may want to invest/buy into the Blue revolution.
I also go along with the slowly slowly invest into BIHL rather than sell the club as I have always said plan A is the BIHL route and plan B will be the sale of BCFC.
Ziggy is just a legend in my eyes and what a fitting way to end his career here.
Good luck to all going to Bolton enjoy and KRO.
Just a word on zigic. Many have critisied him for being lazy, being unable to win wnough balls in the air,
and for having a bad attitude, none of which I agree with but they are beside the point anyway.IIt was his goals that got us to wembley and his goal that helped win it, his goals that sunk West ham and his goal that ensured our survival in the Championship.
B ig Zig will go down as a folk hero, and a legend, not in the same way as TF of course but a hero just the same, occasionaly it is necessary to look beyond the statistics, beyond the record books, star quality is something that can not be defined, but he had it in bucketloads, Im going to miss him as Im sure many people will..
Agree 100%. Had a presence about him on the pitch and always looked a threat even when he or the team were not playing well. He lives locally to me and is always pleasant and friendly when you see him around. A top bloke.
Hillfield I too have ran into him on occasions, he always has time an real nice guy.
