Viv Solomon-Otabor Called Up For Super Eagles Camp
The official Blues website have today reported that Viv Solomon-Otabor has been called up by Nigeria for a training camp ahead of their preparations for their U23 playoff first leg against Congo in July.
Samson Siasia’s team are due to play Congo over two legs this summer for the right to play in the CAF U23 Championship Tournament in Senegal, where the top three teams will win qualification to the Rio Olympics in 2016.
Details on the trials are hard to come by with no reports coming out of Nigeria about the camp. The last information on Solomon-Otabor’s international status was last December when his dad, former Bendel Insurance FC player Victor-Banks Otabor confirmed that Viv had opted to play for the Super Eagles. Solomon-Otabor mentioned he hadn’t been to Nigeria since he was 14 when he was invited by his uncle, former Nigerian international Thompson Oliha to train with Kwara Football Academy.
In other news, it’s been confirmed today that former midfielder Callum Reilly has signed for Gary Rowett’s old club, Burton Albion. The midfielder was released at the end of this season having been with Blues since the age of 8.

Wow ! Kro
Always good to see the progress of our young players getting recognised. Also well done to Callum Reilly signing for Burton, I hope he does well there. KRO
Good to see another of our lads getting recognition. Well done son!
And good luck to Callum O’Reilly. I hope his career takes off now.
VSO looks a great prospect I really hope he breaks into the first team this year. He already looks better than Koby and could potentially be better than Gray.
good luck to all our young players , but would it not be also nice for GR to start thinking about adding some players ?, namely a good goalkeeper or two , some one up front to assist clayton , or even dare i say it , try to sign or reloan the 3 players we had on loan , time is ticking away and while i trust in GR , its all gone very quite at blues . KRO .
