BIH Takeover Update – Confirmation Receivers Remain in Place

Birmingham International Holdings have today posted their monthly update on the proposed takeover of either BCFC of BIH by Trillion Trophy Asia to the Stock Exchange.

The announcement confirms that the takeover is still under negotiation between BIH and TTA and as yet there is nothing announced with respect to how those negotiations have gone.

It also confirms the news from Friday that the “Discharge Application” filed by Carson Yeung was unsuccessful, and that a group of minority shareholders had filed an application for the Receivers to remain in place until the company’s shares resume trading on the stock exchange – which has been confirmed by the Judge.

The question of course is when that will be – and it’s a question that I don’t believe anyone can answer right now. It’s my understanding that BIH will need to show the stock exchange that the company is being governed properly and that it is on a proper financial standing before that can happen – how long that will take I think we can only guess.

The next announcement will be due before September 30.

Good news whilst e&y are at the helm we can be assured everything is done by the book which will eventually get us to a satisfactory end to this sad state of affairs and hopefully a sale in the non to distant future. kro.

  • Bluey says:

To all the protaganists in this sorry, sorry tale can i ask a favour…? GET ON WITH IT !!!!!!

  • AndyP says:

This must be the longest running ownership saga ever. We can only hope we come out of it stronger than ever. There are a few clubs now in the premier who went through similar not so long ago and are now on a sound financial footing, and also a few clubs like Portsmouth ,Coventry and Blackpool who are at the other end of the scale. It could so easily have gone that way for us had it not been for caddis last minute goal, and now the Influence GR has had on the club

Seems like its finally coming together for bcfc on and off the pitch fair play to the shareholders who asked the court to allow the receivers to carry on and do there work let’s hope sooner rather than later the TS are crossed and the is dotted and this sorry episode is over and the club can prosper in the proper way kro

  • Bluegraham says:

Who knows CY might realise his shares will be worth far more if he works with E&y rather than against them and he could actually be a lot better off financially selling out after all I am sure he now needs the money ? So perhaps a sale of the club is closer than we think.!

  • FellowBlue says:

I fear the monthly announcements will not give any further information out until all of the various court cases involving BIH are completed – which explains the prolonged period of exclusivity.
The light at the end of the tunnel is starting to grow a bit bigger now though, and its also looking a bit brighter while we are doing so well on the pitch. KRO.

I’ve followed the Blues best part of my life going down no matter what and this year I’m a season ticket holder because I believe we are on the verge of something big.The ship is steady and about to set sail for great times again. GR holds the keys. I FEEL THIS REALLY.

  • Mitchell says:

With silly money being spent by the big Prem. clubs it would not surprise me to see a bid for Gray before deadline hour today. Gary Rowett has stated that he expects Gray to stay but even he cannot control the money that is suddenly splashed out. The bait is too big. Donaldson is my concern more than Gray, with a fair amount of Champ.clubs already showing their recent interest. £2m plus would take some stopping in today’s climate in view of age etc. Let’s hope the window passes for BCFC nice and quietly.

  • chris says:

Players come and go and it’s down to the value we gain to re-invest, but Gary Rowett and his team are more important and my biggest concern.
Panos and BCFC need to give the management a longer contract, just like we have with most of the team recently or risk losing them once the sacking season starts towards Christmas.

    • Taz says:

I think you make some very good points Chris and I fully agree with you. Although I do not particularly want to us lose any of our players, I think it is far more important to make sure we keep hold of GR and his team.

It has been proven many times in the past that, no matter how good he is, we can always replace a player or, recover from him leaving. It is far more difficult to replace a good manager/coaching team.

      • Blue Steve says:

I’ve never really thought about this before but why don’t we get GR and his staff tied down to a 3-4 year contract? Doing this business is almost as important than any other player signing we make.

  • Mitchell says:

Ironic. Nathan Byrne of Swindon has signed for Wolves! All summer I have been banging on about this player. Hate to say it but put money on wolves. Byrne and Hylton could have just pushed up up a few notches for possible automatic.

  • BhamCityJulian says:

We are a centre half and good fortune with injuries and form from being playoff contenders. Two new full backs and a pair scoring 35 goals and we’ll challenge for automatic

  • StaffsBlue says:

Wes Thomas set to join Swindon on loan until January. I hope to God that Rowett has someone lined up, or we could be in the brown stuff.

  • Richard Granfield says:

If Thomas’ move is confirmed it leaves a threadbare squad. Only loan players available of course after 18.00 today.
Let’s hope we continue to have no injuries.
On the other hand Rowett is slowly but surely letting the Clark signings he doesn’t want leave, Thomas being the third one this season.

  • Blue Lizard says:

This time of year for Blues fans is like a kid with his nose pushed up against the sweet shop window when all his mates are inside buying sweets……it wont always be this way!

  • Mitchell says:

Strange move by Blues to make Townsend transfer to Barnsley permanent.

  • StaffsBlue says:

Well, only the loan window available now. I’m trusting the manager has a plan. ?

  • Pat glover says:

We fans can only pray for finer weather. Let’s hope negotiations can be successfully completed quickly

  • Hillfield Blues says:

I hope GR has got a couple of good loan signings at centre back and now maybe up front up his sleeve.I think he has gone on record as saying this was the route he was going to take.

    • StaffsBlue says:

As well as a centre back, If he doesn’t make a striker a priority now, then letting both Novak and Thomas go will seem a very strange decision.

      • Hillfield Blues says:

Perhaps he’s waiting on a few clubs to give the green light on a few loan deals now that the window has shut. I can’t imagine GR would leave us so vulnerable in both positions.

  • Mitchell says:

We know now that we go into the Bristol game with what we have minus Thomas. Not bad considering the squad available. If needs be then the following game against Forest could be enhanced by a loan signing or two. No bluenose should be unhappy tonight. Perhaps Mr. Mann who was hoping for a CH. However the German adventure into Bars unknown may compensate!

  • David says:

Whilst the wheels of the law turn slowly, for good reason, and a true outcome is reached there is one thing that needs to be done speedily! Gary Rowett needs to offered an extremely good contract. One that will tie him to the Blues for a few years. Remember. There is no transfer window for managers and Blues could loser him to a predator.
