New Kids On The Block
Despite the transfer window not opening for a month and half, Birmingham City continue to be busy handing trials to promising youngsters.
Credit must go to ED_Blue from smallheathalliance.com who posted yesterday that seventeen year old Cowdenbeath midfielder Liam Callaghan is to trial with Blues next week. I’m not sure the teenager has made a first team appearance for the Blue Brazil yet, but he has a good pedigree (both his father and grandfather were professional footballers) and he has been capped by Scotland at Schoolboy level.
I also picked up from Twitter that Jamaica u20 player and former MK Dons academy striker Jevani Brown is about to (or already has been) picked up by the Blues. The seventeen year old, who played in the under-18 World Cup in Mexico (like Nathan Redmond) has mentioned on Twitter he’s signed forms but nothing has been confirmed by the club as yet.

Glad to see the youth team is still signing or trialing players,,,,, pity the senior scouts cant find older players,,,,like Geoff Horsfield and I think it was Roger Hynd who were both playing amatuer football when found and signed
Blues need quality young players, guadually bring them though and hopefully they continue their careers at blues…… There must be a balance with youth and experience…..kro Blues need to continue to blood their youngsters into first team football if they are ready, or loan them out to get more experience in the other divisions….the more game time the better…….
