Loans in and out
Blues have announced today that Akwasi Asante is to join League Two side Northampton Town on a 28 day youth development loan as of January 1. Asante, who is a 19-year-old striker will join the cobblers with a view to getting some first team football but will still train with Blues for one or two days a week.
Jake Jervis has returned from his loan spell at Swindon Town, where he made fourteen appearances and scored five goals. Chris Hughton has now to decide if the 20-year-old Wolverhampton-born frontman is to stay at Blues or go out on loan again. Jervis is out of contract at the end of the season and should Blues not make a new contract offer the 6’3 striker will be able to join another team on a free at the end of the season.
