N’Daw Coming Home Early
Blues fans will be glad to hear that Guirane N’Daw will be returning home from the Africa Cup of Nations early after Senegal were surprisingly eliminated last night, losing 2-1 to hosts Equatorial Guinea in Bata.
The result means that Senegal are bottom of Group A with two defeats and cannot catch 2nd placed Zambia who beat them by the same scoreline in Senegal’s first game. Senegal thought they’d snatched a draw when Moussa Sow of Fenerbahçe equalized in the 89th minute only for Equatorial Guinea to snatch an unlikely win in the fourth minute of stoppage time thanks to a 25 yard driven goal by Kily Álvarez of Spanish third division side Langreo.
Guirane N’Daw will return to England after the final group game, which will be held on Sunday in Bata, Equatorial Guinea against 3rd placed Libya.

Did our man actually play in any of the games? According to the BBC, he did. Apparently, “before the break, there was still time for Guirane Ndaw to sting Danilo’s fingers with a 25-yard piledriver”. Nice one.
I know N’daw played the first game, he played a lovely ball in to the box to set up their goal against Zambia.
I know he played the full 90 in the first, don’t know about this?
Played in both
Good news but bad for ndaw in terms of sengal but really we need a striker left midfielder and defender

They still got final fixture in group? When is he likely to be available? Is Leeds a possibility?
Did you read the article?
Final fixture is Sunday. I should imagine he’ll be on his way home Monday, Leeds might be too soon though
I make it a long held policy never to read the last two lines of any article. Sorry Alm!

Maybe we should be signing players from Equatorial Guinea
I think many clubs will be. I saw the game, E.G. very impressive and totally fearless.
If we don’t get another striker in (hopefully with some pace) by the end of the window, we can forget promotion!
