Blues Youth In Dubai
with thanks to Chris Quinn for bringing it to my attention
Birmingham City have been confirmed as one of the teams participating in the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Under-19 International Football Tournament in Dubai starting on Friday.
The tournament features ten clubs with six coming from the United Arab Emirates and the remaining three coming from Italy, France and Kuwait. Blues have been placed into group B along with Al Wasl, Al Ahli, Hatta Club and Racing Club de Lens.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals to be held on April 14 and April 16.
The competition is restricted to players born in 1992 or later, and teams will be allowed to field two unregistered trialists. Matches will be played over two forty minute halves.

Quite a shame that our club havent given this really good news any exposure.
Good luck to them, please keep us informed on their progress.
I’m hoping to have some match reports and pics from some friends I have out there.
“Some of the top junior sides from Europe” — not knocking our players, but it’s a slight exaggeration from the tournament website methinks.
I take it that the D in DoctorD means DOOM. Just be happy for the the good experience for boys and the publicity for the club..
