Fahey in Ireland 2012 Euro Squad
Keith Fahey was confirmed today in Giovanni Trapattoni’s 23 man Republic of Ireland squad for the Euro 2012 Championships to be held in Poland and Ukraine.
The 29-year-old Dubliner has been named in the squad despite missing the last four games for Blues with a niggly going injury. He is likely to be the sole representative for Birmingham City at the Euros with Nikola Zigic’s Serbia failing to qualify.
The midfielder has made forty-four appearances for Blues this season, scoring four times including the goal voted goal of the season by Blues fans which came against Crystal Palace.

Well done Keith.
He deserves the chance he has been superb this season after being written off by many blues fans and I will be watching his games in the Euro’s!
Good for him, another two fingers to those who disgracefully scapegoated him earlier in the season.
To be fair he was p***-poor at the start of the season. Even Chris Hughton said he needed to improve. And indeed with that kick up the backside he has improved greatly as the season has progressed and should be one of the first names on the teamsheet when fit.
Credit where credit’s due! ..shame a few fans caused a negative storm that got a debate going in the first half of the season, hope he does well and his St Patrick’s day goal stuck it to the critics! Will be following Ireland anyway ..as will qiute a few bluenoses.
Keep Right On.
Good player in the championship, not good enough for the premiership is I think the view of many noses on Keith another Stephen Clemence in my opinion. Good luck to him in Euros though.
