International Round Up

It wasn’t a great weekend for either of the Blues players involved in international football this weekend.

Marlon King made his first appearance for Jamaica in three years when he came on as a late sub in the friendly against Panama at the National Stadium in Kingston but he was powerless to prevent the Reggae Boyz from losing 1-0. With Jamaica looking toothless up front for the majority of the game the question will be if King will be picked to start in the World Cup Qualifiers next month.

Keith Fahey didn’t even get on the pitch for the Republic of Ireland in their match against Bosnia and Herzegovina after his troublesome groin injury flared up again in the pre-match warmup. Even worse is that a scan on the injury has shown that the injury is bad enough to rule him out of the Euro 2012 squad.
