Loan Report – Air Shots and Power Failures
It’s been a quiet week for Blues loanees with only Adam Rooney making an appearance out of the three players Blues have out on temporary transfer.
Rooney was a second half sub in Swindon Town’s match against Bury and was guilty of missing a few chances to extend the Robins’ lead. A touch from the Irishman on Matt Ritchie’s header just after the break would have resulted in a goal and Rooney was also guilty of an air shot with the goal gaping according to the Swindon Advertiser.
Graham Hutchison was an unused sub as Lincoln City slumped to another defeat – this time 2-1 to Luton Town – in the Blue Square Bet Conference which sees the Imps drop to 21st position and back into the relegation zone.
Fraser Kerr didn’t get any game time this weekend but neither did any of the Motherwell players as their game was called off due to a power failure in the town which affected Fir Park. The lack of game sees ‘Well slip to 5th in the Scottish Premier League, although they now have a game in hand on all but Celtic and are only two points off the lead.
