Referee Watch – Nigel Miller
Barring any late changes, Nigel Miller of County Durham will be in the middle for Blues’ game against Derby County at Pride Park on Saturday. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr Miller has been in the middle in sixteen games this season and in those games he has shown 47 yellow cards and 1 red. Of those games, six have been in the Championship and those have yielded sixteen cautions. Last season Mr Miller took charge of 42 games, showing 104 yellows and three reds. Of those games, fifteen were in the Championship and in those games Mr Miller cautioned thirty-two players and sent one off.
Last Blues Game Refereed
The last Blues game Mr Miller was in the middle for was the 1-1 draw between Brighton and Hove Albion and Blues at the Amex on 21 April this year. In that game he handed out five yellow cards – to Alan Navarro and Liam Bridcutt of Brighton and to Peter Ramage, Morgaro Gomis and Wade Elliott of Blues. Colin Tattum gave Mr Miller a 6, and the review “standard type” in his match ratings.
Last Championship Game Refereed
The last Championship game Mr Miller took charge of was the game between Cardiff City and Burnley which finished 4-0 to the home side. In that game Mr Miller showed one yellow card, to Joseph Mills of Burnley. Neither the South Wales Echo nor the Burnley Express have mentioned the ref in their reports, which I take as a positive sign.

I just hope he’s better than the official last weekend.
Doesn’t look promising as his name includes the word “MINGER”.
Miller is typical of the inept officials that are foisted upon us week after week, it is high time that the Football League put their house in order regarding referees, inadequate lack of supervision and training are plainly evident.
Ah…… Mario Gomis whatever happened to him?
Ah…… Morgaro Gomis whatever happened to him?
