Gossip Folks – The Transfer Rumour Mill (Winter 2013 edition) Part I
The start of January sees the start of the Winter transfer window – and with it the speculation and rumour that goes with it. For the last two transfer windows I have kept track of rumours so people can see who really has got their finger on the pulse and who is just making stuff up.
The rules are simple; I’m only looking at transfer stories from “legitimate sources” – so for example The Mirror and the Daily Mail are in because they’re newspapers whereas Tribalfootball and Clubcall are out because they work on a much more gossipy basis. I will consider news from foreign sources with similar caveats – ie it’s got to be a proper news source and not some work of fantasy. I’m going to put them all together into a spreadsheet which I’ll then link on here and update you all about once a week or so.
As we all know this winter is going to be about sales – who Blues are going to lose to ensure that they keep their head above water financially. We’ve already seen a plethora of rumours regarding Jack leaving with Southampton and Liverpool already touted as potential destinations whilst Curtis Davies is supposed to have interested Southampton and Reading.
As always, if you have seen something I haven’t please let me know. I’m especially intrigued to see if the Nikola Zigic transfer window thing crops up again – he’s supposed to have left us in the last three transfer windows and I wouldn’t be surprised if his agent cranks things up a fourth time.
I’m hoping to have the first installment up of the spreadsheet on or around the 7th of this month.

This one is interesting, Di Canio saying talks have already started about a Paul Caddis deal.
Letters of Protest as to how Club is being run are being hand delivered to B.I.H.L. Head Office in HONG KONG in the next 2 or 3 days.
If Mr.Zigic loves it at Blues so much could
he not offer to take a pay cut or have some
pay suspended? This would make him a real
legend down St.Andrews and in football as
a whole.
The mirror is in! James Nursery is the biggest plageurist in british journalism (and thats saying something) he borrowed one of your stories last week didnt he? We know people are going but lets worry about it when they are gone. Peter Pan plays his cards close to his chest remember. Who saw Mutch leaving? Kro
I’m amazed that B.I.H.L. can afford an office ! Probably an old shed on some waste ground !
Aside from the extra money why would Jack B or Curtis go to clubs such as Southampton or Reading . None of these clubs will ever be close to winning anything. Where is the real ambition?
The influence agents have in the game is rapidly destroying the game.
Has anyone noticed how many injuries have occurred since the start of the holiday period.? I wonder if the players have to report in when injured .
Ziggy must be understandably cheesed off having the blame for the clubs financial position laid at his door.It was PP who negotiated his wage ..he needs to look at himself before blaming others.
PP people skills are equal to his communication skills.
If I was Zig I too would feel aggrieved. However as much as I back the bloke he is no use to us on 50k a week and suspendended after needlessly getting sent off.
In my opinion any player who gets sent off. Should be fined there wages. In this case it could have saved the club 100k.
Just seen that david lucas the reserve goalkeeper has been realeased to be able to join fleetwood.. Seems abit strange letting him go when it looks like butlands on his way. Doyle with lucas didnt seemto bad..so that leaves us with potentially with 1 goalkeeper. Have you seen much of the young lad townsend in the reserves almajir?
Hi Aljamir, do you think Keith Fahey will be sold? Its a mystery why he has spent so long in Ireland. Alao wondering what condition he is in.
I think it’s possible, but I don’t know for sure.
would be a terrible waiste of money if we are still paying him. But doubt it as PP would be on it.
Shows how skint CY is the ball boys bibs are still xtep
CY, you will get nothing for the club when we are in division one. I just can’t see us staying in the division this season. The writing is on the wall….I can feel it.
