Referee Watch – Robert Madley
Barring any late changes, Robert Madley of West Yorkshire will be in the middle for Blues’ Championship game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park today. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr Madley has taken charge of thirty games so far this season, showing eighty-four yellow cards and five reds. Of those games, twelve have been in the Championship and in those games Mr Madley has handed out thirty-seven cautions and sent off three players.
Last Blues Match Refereed
The last Blues match refereed by Mr Madley was the 1-0 defeat to Cardiff City on New Year’s Day at St Andrews. In that game, Mr Madley booked three players, all from Blues – Paul Robinson, Morgaro Gomis and Jake Jervis. Mr Madley didn’t merit a mention in my match report and got a mark of 6 from Colin Tattum, who judged him firm and fair.
Last Championship Game Refereed
The last level that Mr Madley refereed at this level was the Lancashire derby between Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers on March 5 which finished 1-0 to the home side. In that game Mr Madley handed out three yellow cards – to Zat Knight of Bolton, and Jason Lowe and Grant Hanley of Blackburn Rovers. He is barely mentioned in the Bolton News match report whilst the Lancashire Telegraph doesn’t mention him at all – something I take to be a positive.

If he’s anything like his brother put money on an City win … biased northern/yorkshire ref.
Palace are still a danger to Hull who are a yorkshire club in old money.
Sorted.
Now for tuesday get your dosh Hull to be totally outplayed by Watford but win by two dodgy penalty’s with Watford down to ten men having already had 3 perfectly good goals disallowed …. it happens to be this refs next mission.
