Referee Watch – Keith Hill
Barring any late changes, Keith Hill of Hertfordshire will be in the middle for Blues’ Championship game against Millwall at St Andrews today. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr Hill has only taken charge of nine games so far this season in England, where he has shown thirty-four yellow cards and three reds. Of those games, none have been in the Championship. However, Mr Hill has just recently returned from a two-year secondment to the Japanese FA as a referee instructor.
Last Blues Game Refereed
The last game involving Blues that Mr Hill took charge of was the 3-2 win over Charlton Athletic at St Andrews on 15 November 2008. In that game Mr Hill booked Liam Ridgewell, James McFadden and Nigel Quashie of Blues along with Mark Hudson and Lloyd Sam of Charlton. Mr Hill also showed Nigel Quashie a second yellow card for a challenge on Nicky Bailey which the midfielder said had failed to take the wet surface into account.
Last Championship Game Refereed
The last game at this level that Mr Hill officiated in was the 1-0 win by Scunthorpe over Swansea City in March 2011 where Mr Hill booked seven players.
