BIH Relisting Announcement

Birmingham International Holdings have made an announcement to the Stock Exchange with respect to the proposed relisting of the shares in the company.

The announcement confirms receipt of a letter from the HKSE this week which states three conditions that require fulfilment  prior to shares being relisted. These relate to proof of liquidity, demonstration of working capital signed off by the auditors and details with relation to the management of the company and the sale of Birmingham City Football Club.

Of particular interest to Blues fans is the note that the Stock Exchange want BIH to publish their intentions with respect to the club – which I would infer would include progression of bids/negotiations etc. However, it is worth noting that enquiries made by this website to the stock exchange have confirmed relisting is not a perquisite to the sale of the club.

no it perquisite but a big step forward to the sale. Aggressive take over now OP or just a sale Kro4ever

  • Eddie says:

    is Tom Ross right then?

    is a sale happening?

  • Tony says:

Surely this will force their hand and they will have to come clean as to what, if anything is happening. Mind you, I don’t think their answers to the first two questions will make happy reading for their shareholders.

  • Kaje says:

I’m of the opinion that Yeung et al have absolutely no intention of selling the club until the court case has been resolved one way or the other. Even then, I have a feeling Yeung’s shares will be bought by someone he has very close ties with to ensure he still gets some kind of input. A puppet, if you will.

  • Oldbluenose says:

Perhaps, ??. A step in the right direction, ?.

We have been too long in a state of limbo, So we must NOT ” grasp at straws “, Because we all know straws can be blown away to easily, ,!!!.

  • Evesham blue says:

Interesting. How else could BIHL prove liquidity of the company if a sale of the main asset hasn’t been agreed ?

  • Tony says:

I don’t think they can hold out till the conclusion of the court case, cause by then, with nothing else worth selling, they face administration, which they must avoid because then the outcome is out of their hands and their financial return would be peanuts. Perhaps I’m being stupidly optimistic, but I think they have nowhere else to go now but to sell for whatever they can get.

  • Masaccio says:

The HKSE will no doubt of heard the rumoirs about a sale and will want the crappy owners to clarify their position plus asking the auditors to supply proof for things they probably don;t know the answers too.

  • peter bates says:

can we see light at end of tunnel lets hope so just need announcement from peter pannu to hkse that deal is done what a lift that would be for club kro

    • RichardM says:

I agree, reading the article in the Mail (if it’s true) sounds like the HKSE have finally run out of patience with Yueng / Pannu and the rest of the BIHL rabble. As was stated on this site earlier – Pannu can treat Blues fans with contempt, but he has to listen and act when it comes to the HKSE. That’s the most positive sign I’ve seen yet – the HKSE demanding to know what the future / exit plan is for BIHL and Birmingham City. I also don’t think they can stall it any longer – court case or no court case.

  • Masaccio says:

When was pannu last seen at the club? Will he be the halftime entertainment for the Watford game?

    • Richard Granfield says:

Talking about Watford they have signed 8 players from Udinese and Granada!!!!!!!!

    • StaffsBlue says:

Half time entertainment? The old tv ad springs to mind: ‘Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down.’ How apt in Mr Pannu’s case.

    • almajir says:

Pannu was last in the UK around a month or two ago.

      • zxcv says:

why do you always ignor someone when they ask you a question?

        • almajir says:

I don’t ignore every question zxcv, for instance I’ve not ignored this one.

I don’t answer every question because sometimes I don’t wish to.

          • zxcv says:

then just say sorry i dont wish to answer

          • almajir says:

Or I could just not answer…

Pannu was last in the UK around a month or two ago.

That sounded like an answer to me. Or am I missing something?

        • steve says:

Maybe he doesn’t know the answer.I know what you mean zx.I’d rather not know he knows something if he can’t tell us what he knows.

          • almajir says:

And then I’d be moaned at for not answering the original queston…

          • Andy W says:

I would like to jump to almajirs’ defence here………..I am sure he has been given lots of different information from a number of well cultivated sources in his tireless work to provide us with an insight into the issues affecting the club. I for one enjoy reading this site because I know that when the author addresses an issue, it means that the information I receive is based on fact and is legally defensible, unlike other sites where I read speculation after speculation which has no evidential basis. This site represents public information, and therefore the author has legal responsibilities to ensure that what is published is accurate and does not constitute any criminal offence. I am sure when almajir knows something that is printable in his view, he will publish it and be responsible for it. Other than that, thanks for keeping us up to date.

          • dazbcfc says:

I’m sure OP spends many hours working on this site and to answer every question would mean many more hours. OP works on facts not fiction and does a grand job, I don’t read or trust any other site. Leave the man be. I’m happy our new wage structure is in place, its hard to relate to players on stupid money. Bring on Watford, Yeovil etc and KRO.

  • sappy sad says:

………….the way I am seeing it is the indecision has finally leant away from keeping b.c.after the minor heart scare…….C.Y.will still be a very rich man still when all this is done …if he is found innocent he will want less stress …or will concentrate on building his wealth back up ….and will need a stake to gamble with ..so the sale of b.c…will be on ……if he is found guilty leaving it to peter pan and his son will be to stressful and to big a gamble so the sale of b.c.will be on……I think their always has been a fallback plan as carson is to clever to lose so much and leave it so late ….now it is looking like it is in the courts interest and C.Y.s interest that he sells the club ,hence the extra postponement ……

  • peter bates says:

noticed mr sullivan bought more shares in west ham has david gold sold him them to raise the cash for us always liked him and he his a blue nose

    • Pete says:

What tripe! Why was Gold a real blues fan? Cos he told us he was? He sold the club jsut the same as Sullivan, he never materialised on his promises to buy the club from Sullivan and has done recious little in any attempt to help the club since (Morrison and Hall were Allardyce decisions) with the exception of apparently ofering £1m for Redmond 2 years ago!

  • Quokkasskip says:

point 2 in the letter is the hardest one for them to fulfil

The auditors have constantly qualified the accounts due to cashflow issues and they don’t think the club is a going concern. Getting them to sign a letter to contrary to this will be v difficult. They will effectively do another audit.

My take on this is that re-listing is not going to happen. Therefore 1 of 3 things.
    1. it is just noise to buff fans/buyers that they are looking at relisting and remaining in control.
    2. They are seriously looking to sell the club?
    3. Carson wants to transfer his shares in case he is found guilty?

    make your own mind up!

  • hongkong bluenose says:

just wandering how much is B.C.F.C worth at the moment , realistically 20million ?

    • Quokkasskip says:

On paper BCFC is worth nothing. It has net liabilities and no real assets.

The age old saying is that something is only worth what people want to pay for it.

At present, that is also very little.

So realistically, maybe 5 million based on the faint hope you get promoted. In business no-one would touch it

  • peter bates says:

even cy and pp should realise the club needs to be sold thing that worries me will pp take control it wont be sold if he gets it

  • Tony says:

PP wont take control of the club, that would require him putting money in, he’s much better at taking it out!

  • anon says:

this wont make a difference carson thinks he will be back running the club next year!

  • Tony says:

Dan I think zxcy has a point what exactly do you know? or are you reluctent to compromise your book sales.

    • almajir says:

Do you honestly think I’m going to publish everything I know and put my sources into trouble?

      Seriously?

Does no one understand how journalism works?

      If I can publish it, I will. If I can’t, I won’t. That’s the end of it.

  • Tony says:

You were asked is a sale happening you answered NO based on what you know, but you feel unable to share with us what you know.

  • KRO says:

Maybe you should just get your bluesnews elsewhere if you dont like it tony?

  • Mickey07 says:

Mayor, why hasn’t paladini officially thrown the towel in? Why has someone like him who is not press or media shy chucked it all in?seems well strange…

  • Tony says:

KRO who are you to tell me to go elseware,? I asked a simple question in no way critical of the sites owner Its quite obvious that Dan knows more than he is able to share. Your suggestion I read the sunday shite for news is ridiculous I come here for accurate information not sensationalism
Maynbe yourself and bluenose should follow your own advice but maybe you enjoy all this crap more than you do the actual facts

  • peter bates says:

lets all hope that when there is something genuine to report it wont matter where the news comes from it worries me that since may 13 pp has remained silent not only about a takeover but all club news in the past he has been quick to point out what a great job he is doing for our club i personally dont care where the news comes from as long as its genuine

  • sappy sad says:

…I hope almajir makes a best seller from all this …..this needs to be all exposed ,and a lot more questions answered…….good luck to you almajir

  • Richard Granfield says:

Peter Pannu must have known the conditions required by the HKSO before he applied for re-listing BIH shares.
If he did know the conditions then he must be confident of achieving them, because it would be a futile application if not.
Condition 3(e) “The Company’s intention on the proposed disposal of the Company’s interest in Birmingham City PLC and/or Birmingham City Football Club”.
I shall be watching developments with interest.

    • Blue Steve says:

Completely agree. Wtth the timing of this and Tom Ross’s speculation maybe just maybe a deal is in the offing….

      • KeepRightcroydOn says:

My guess is that Pannu decided to take a chance in the hope it would sneak through. Or the cynic in.me thinks that it also may be a ploy on his part to make it appear he’s actively doing something. Not unknown for him to give the impression in the past that things are happening, when in fact not much is. They appoint new directors, have claimed that there are parties seriously interested in inviting and all sorts, but nothing happens and slowly things things slip under the radar. After all he’s done in the past I for one am deeply mistrustful.

  • mark says:

Don’t we all love a bit of speculation……..imo tom will still be flying his kite………and blues football coming along a treat …….unless bcfc say otherwise i wouldn’t hold your breath…………brilliant signing by Clark Scott Allen appears to be the perfect replacement for Morrison…….. I can now conclude this to be fact…….kro

  • mark says:

Dan- be a little bit honest you love the suspense always keep the reader interested offer a little and often, drip, drip the information……Does no one understand how journalism works?…………….

  • mark says:

carson or pp make any statements this will come thought bcfc first…………as pp has used this in the past to make statements, imo he will probably continue to do so regarding our club………….

  • BhamCityJulian says:

Imagine if Trautmann had died on the pitch. We’d have been unjustly pilloried and if we’d won we’d have been made to feel guilty.

  • Marky mark says:

The sale of the club is eminent, a matter of days away

  • Marky mark says:

    A confident statement !

The sale may be a drawn out affair, but the news is due to break on a proposed agreement.

  • StaffsBlue says:

Smoke and mirrors. I won’t believe bugger all until it’s announced on bcfc.com.

  • Euston 9.18 says:

Will the answers from the bih about the questions asked by the H`Kong stock exchange be available to the public or will they be “undisclosed” ??

  • AndyP says:

Marky, got really excited when seen your post, then realised 11.40 Friday nite, hot day,me thinks you’ve had a few too many ales.

  • Art Watson says:

Rest assured when the money starts to run out PP will sell the club.

    Won’t be long now!

  • Pete says:

Can we not all agree- nobody has got a clue!?!?!?? Like everything else with our club nobody has any ideas. That is the problem.
