Referee Watch – Craig Pawson
Barring any late changes, Craig Pawson of South Yorkshire will be in the middle for Blues’ Championship game against Blackpool at St Andrews today. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr Pawson has taken charge of seven games so far this season, showing twenty-five yellow cards and two reds. Of those games, three have been in the Championship and in those games Mr Pawson has handed out thirteen yellow cards and sent off two players.
Last Blues Game Refereed
The last game involving Blues that Mr Pawson was in charge of was the 4-0 defeat to Watford in February. In that game he showed two yellow cards – to Paul Robinson and Peter Lovenkrands of Blues – and I noted that he was poor in my match reflections.
Last Championship Game Refereed
The last game Mr Pawson officiated in the Championship was the game between Brighton and Nottingham Forest in October. In that game Mr Pawson booked six players – Andrew Crofts of Brighton along with Karl Darlow, Eric Lichaj, Nathaniel Chalobah, Simon Cox and Jamie Mackie of Nottingham Forest with Chalobah receiving his marching orders for a second bookable offence.
Suspension Watch
1 red card – Wade Elliott (one match of a three match suspension to serve), Kyle Bartley (one match of a one match suspension to serve)
6 yellow cards – Paul Robinson (one match suspension served)
3 yellow cards – Neal Eardley, Dan Burn and Jonathan Spector
2 yellow cards – Tom Adeyemi, Kyle Bartley, and Shane Ferguson
1 yellow card – Darren Ambrose, Lee Novak, Koby Arthur, Wade Elliott, Jesse Lingard, Matt Green, Nikola Zigic, Colin Doyle, David Murphy, Paul Caddis, Mitch Hancox, Callum Reilly and Andrew Shinnie
The “cut-off” point where a fifth yellow card will no longer attract a suspension is after December 31 2013 and the point where a tenth yellow card will no longer attract a suspension is after April 13 2014.

Looks like we in for a Tonkin today !
Kro sotv
where are all the forcasts for todays game (in for a tonkin is the only one) have you gone to sleep staffsblue come on get behind the lads in blue 3-1 and played well
G’day maurice. My computer has been in the workshop being upgraded for the last couple of days, then there was a fault in the area, so my internet was down most of yesterday.
My only worry, is that we’re back to a lopsided back 4, with Burn most likely to replace Bartley. We looked much more balanced with two right-footers and two lefties at Huddersfield. But, with the attack of (probably) Burke, Lingard and Novak behind Zigic, with McLean to (probably) come off the bench… I’ll go 3-2 to Blues. If we stop Ince, we’ll probably stop Blackpool. That’s the theory anyway. :-)
Oh… and it looks like we have another trigger-happy ref to look forward to. An average of almost 5 yellows per game doesn’t bode well. Another “Look at me-me-me” kind of official. Thanks a bunch.
your team selection was spot on cleaver lad
and i don,t care who scores them
Home win to blues 3-0, this ref will hopefully get out the rightside of his bed today……. Cannot be any poorer than before dan………..
I really don’t rate Blackpool, think they’ve had the rub of the green this season, and can’t see them being anything other than mid-table by the end of the season. That said, it depends which Blues turn up today, lets think positive, hope the ref sends off one of theirs rather then ours – 2-1 to Blues.
Craig Poor Son :-(
