Referee Watch – Robert Madley
Barring any late changes, Robert Madley of West Yorkshire will be in the middle for Blues’ Championship game against Nottingham Forest at St Andrews today. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr Madley has taken charge of twelve games so far this season, showing fifty-one yellow cards and four reds. Of those games, four have been in the Championship and in those games he has dished out sixteen cautions and sent one player off.
Last Blues Game Refereed
The last Blues game that Mr Madley took charge of was the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in March. In that game Mr Madley booked four players – Yannick Bolasie of Crystal Palace and Mitch Hancox, Ravel Morrison and Wade Elliott of Blues. His performance attracted no comment from me in my match reflections.
Last Championship Game Refereed
The last game at this level refereed by Mr Madley was the match between Brighton and Leicester at the start of this month. In that game Mr Madley booked six players – Andrew Crofts and Kazenga Lua Lua of Brighton and Wes Morgan, Marcin Wasilewski, Daniel Drinkwater and Andy King of Leicester City.
Suspension Watch
1 red card – Wade Elliott (three match suspension served), Kyle Bartley (one match suspension served)
8 yellow cards – Paul Robinson (one match suspension served)
3 yellow cards – Neal Eardley, Tom Adeyemi, Kyle Bartley, Dan Burn and Jonathan Spector
2 yellow cards – Lee Novak, Paul Caddis, Mitch Hancox, and Shane Ferguson
1 yellow card – Darren Ambrose, Koby Arthur, Wade Elliott, Jesse Lingard, Matt Green, Nikola Zigic, Colin Doyle, David Murphy, Callum Reilly, Chris Burke, Olly Lee, Dariusz Dudka and Andrew Shinnie
The “cut-off” point where a fifth yellow card will no longer attract a suspension is after December 31 2013 and the point where a tenth yellow card will no longer attract a suspension is after April 13 2014.

Omens look today take another blues palace result any day…….kro
Hopefully this ref will take into consideration the elements… Hope he lets the derby play itself out….imo it could be players of either team who make the most mistakes in these condition that will ultimately cost them the game…..
