Jeremy Wray Quits

Documents have been filed with Companies House showing that Jeremy Wray has resigned his directorship of  Soccer Management Worldwide. SMW was the company that announced to the Birmingham Mail that it had made a bid for Birmingham City in May.

The document, which can be viewed here, shows that his directorship was terminated as of Thursday August 28.

What this means in the context of the SMW bid for the club is unclear; however with details emanating from HK yesterday that the stock exchange still have not provided BIH with details on how they may proceed with the sale of the club it doesn’t bode well.

Which of the gods did we offend? Do we have to sacrifice someone to appease them and regain their favour? If it’s Peter Pannu or CY I want to do it!

      • dave mann says:

join the que Raymondo cuz that would be a very popular assignement for any bluenose. KRO.

  • DoctorD says:

Do I love being a Bluenose, wonders Dave Mann. Good question — it’s proving hard at the moment though.

    • AussieBlue says:

It’s never hard for me Doc. Blue through to the core; like a stick of rock. I’ve seen it all mate! Both with Blues and in life in general. Ar****es prosper for a while but honesty, integrity, loyalty, deceny and persitency always triumph. These are the qualities that mark us out from the rest. KRO buddy.

    • dave mann says:

once a bluenose……thats what they say DoctorD even through these rough times were going through do test your loyalty and love for the club but that will never ever put me off because me and my family have blue blood running through the vains and its a big part of our everyday life…without the blues i would certainly have the blues so whatever they thow at us we just get up and keep journeying on to the end of that road. DNM & KRO.

Just like the Titanic it’s all going down.

So I nominate PP and CY to do the” Ice Bucket Challenge.”

Please donate generously so we can buy back our club and get rid of these morons.

  • Auld Bertie says:

And while we’re all in this state of paranoia about our beloved club the woe extended to the ladies on Sunday when despite dominating the game against Arsenal they lost 2-1 mainly thanks to a series of atrocious decisions by the referee including awarding a penalty to the ladies which would have seen them draw level at 1-1 only to rescind her decision after pressure from the Arsenal ladies compelled her to seek advice from the linesman. And just who was this official? None other than Amy Fearn; the official who failed to notice that the ball had gone over the touchline by a good 18 inches in the build up to Sunderland’s goal last Wednesday. Her actions can probably be explained by this this line from her Wikipedia entry though:

    “She grew up in Staffordshire…”

So we can probably guess where her football allegiances lie :)

  • edd77 says:

    Fed up, is an understatement!!

  • Oldbluenose says:

Daniel;, Does this make any difference to their bid to buy us, ??.

  • Chris W says:

I have said it before, something drastic needs to happen to rid us of BIHL.
Ideally HKSE should close them down and take away their listing then they would have absolutely nothing to hold on to.
Worse case scenario would be for one of the debtors to call in their monies, but if I am correct, and someone will put me right, the only money we owe is to CY who has transferred his loans to convertible bonds or shares.
Bit like a disease, it has to be removed before any hope of recovery can happen.

  • Staffs Blue says:

I doubt very much that there are too many fans that, by now, believed Wray and Co would buy us anyway. All this does is confirm it.

  • mark says:

as i mentioned before he was too quick to highlight without following the rules…i bet they are all falling all over floor at the stock exchange……

  • mark says:

smw bid if they find someone who keep their mouths shut and follows the rules who’s knows……but to have two people resign doesn’t bode well for them imo as a company…methinks that bid torpedo………..

  • Staffs Blue says:

It’s time we all forgot this buyout bullsh*t and just got on with supporting the team. We’re stuck with them for the forseeable and, if we’re pissed off with them, imagine what it’s like for Lee Clark having to deal with these ‘businessmen.’

    • Chris W says:

Totally agree Staffs, we have no control over what happens in the boardroom but we can influence events on the pitch by getting down and supporting the team. Whether we agree with LC’s sometimes erratic substitutions or team selection we have to get behind them.
After all, we ARE BCFC, regardless who owns us, most of us have seen many owners come and go but we are still putting our hands in our pockets to watch the team through thick and thin.
      KRO+DNM

      • dave mann says:

unfortunately chris not everyone on here as the same view as you or me or staffs on supporting the team no matter what situation were in…
some ” fans” look for excuses to not go or slag off the playing staff and manager and think there doing the club a favour when all there doing is fueling more fire and causing more bad blood amongst those of us who do care and don’t look for excuses….support not slag is my motto. KRO.

        • Staffs Blue says:

I’m one of the few who couldn’t stand Hughton. He just wheeled out the same boring platitudes after every game. I stopped watching his interviews after a while. It was also obvious, even while we were still in Europe, that he wasn’t going to be here the following season. Not once did he ever commit to another season when asked. But still, I supported the guy 100% until the day he walked…. and I’ll continue to do the same with Lee Clark, no matter what.

          • dave mann says:

fair enough but for how long? KRO.

          • Staffs Blue says:

Until he walks out the door for the last time.

          • Chris W says:

I’m the same with LC’s interviews, they are soooooo boring, they certainly don’t enthuse confidence, but he is our manager and so I will support him as I do the team, I don’t agree with some of his decisions and would love to be a fly on the all at a Sunday morning debrief just to see what some of the players think too.
            KRO+DNM

          • Staffs Blue says:

I’ve often thought that…. but I’d love to have been a fly in the dressing rooms at Blues (Fry) Forest (Clough) Sheff U/QPR (Warnock.) I think we’d have all been a bit shocked in the Man U dressing room under Fergie.)

          • Chris W says:

Wonder if they had a swear box, all four were colourful characters and called a spade a spade.
Can you still call a spade a spade in this politically correct world? Most definitely need a shovel as I bet many a player S*** himself if he knew he dropped a B*****
            KRO+DNM

          • Staffs Blue says:

The managers were harder yes… but so to were the players. No boo-hooing and throwing a tantrum back then. If a manager laid into you, it was for a reason… but it made you doubly determind to prove him wrong. That’s how it should be.

          • Staffs Blue says:

That’s one thing I will say for Zigic… when he was disciplined last season, he didn’t moan about it, he knuckled down and earned his place back in the side.

          • Chris W says:

I could see most players giving as good in those days, but they had discipline and respect too.
I agree with Zig, he never spoke out about it and got on with his job, fair play to him for that.
            KRO+DNM

          • Staffs Blue says:

Btw Chris… we call a spade a spade because that’s what a spade is.. a spade. Can’t see anyone getting upset if we called a shovel a shovel.

          • Chris W says:

Just a bit of witticism, you never can tell in this day and age who you might upset or how.
            KRO+DNM

          • Staffs Blue says:

I don’t really give a monkeys Chris…. spade is in the English dictionary, it’s something you use to dig with. I’m not concerned what other connotations people put on it. :-)

    • dave mann says:

if the buyout ever materialises which I don’t think this lot have any inkling to sell because I think there out to destroy and completely ruin our club…they would have sold ages ago if there was any truth in it so lets prey and hope that something out of the ordinary happens but until then get behind the team and to a smaller degree the manager ( because hes really starting to rattle my cage ) and support them because at the end of the day we are suppose to be SUPPORTERS…ime with you on this one staffs. KRO.

      • Staffs Blue says:

I absolutely agree with that. If they had any intentions whatsoever of selling the club, they’d have done before now, when the club actually had something worth any money. Bit late now.

  • Euston 9:15. says:

Admin or the one doing porridge gives his blessing only way BLUES will be sold.

  • Blooflame says:

I made some real gloomy predictions recently about the takeover and blues. One or two feigned anger with stupid responses such as “where’s your evidence” etc… Well, experience in dealings is my yardstick and I actually sat down and THOUGHT about it (some would do well to think, it is an underused art). Just because we are Blues, it doesn’t make us impervious to destruction. We have, in my view, a nest of vipers picking pieces away from our club from behind a smokescreen that is HK and we can do nothing. Someone must have clout somewhere to motivate the FL into action.

  • Matt says:

SMW didn’t give me much optimism anyway if they were to takeover.

    • Staffs Blue says:

They’re still saying that most of the group are Americans. At least there’s more chance of them having a bit of money than a British consortium. Fingers crossed.

      • Chris W says:

At the moment I’m more worried what PP has up his sleeve, so much for his resignation on Tuesday.
The other problem is HKSE and what are they investigating, I still think CY has some manipulative input into both BIHL and BCFC.
The football league would investigate but they need proof of some physical evidence and even the police struggled on that score.
        KRO+DNM

        • Art says:

I entirely agree and for sometime now I have been concerned about what’s going on with the HKSE and what they are likely to uncover. One thing for sure it won’t be good news -it never is with these lot of morons.

          • Chris W says:

If we ever do get new owners what are they going to find. When GSG took over they came out and said they never expected to find the club in such a run down state or so financially poor, I believe they had to go out and buy light bulbs for some of the offices they were so dark.
BIHL are either in a worse state or deliberately withholding money for their own purposes IMO.
            KRO+DNM

          • Staffs Blue says:

The HKSE would do us all a massive favour if they just slung them off the exchange and have done with it. Then we can all move on without the historyonics of the last 2 years.

          • Chris W says:

I’m not sure why they haven’t done so, especially as the owner has been convicted of money laundering.
As art said what will they find, it scares me to think that we could end up losing our club knowing that HKSE could have easily saved us from all this turmoil.
Hopefully when they finish their investigation we an then move on, but how long is a piece of string, could be another two years down then line and CY could be out for good behaviour.
            KRO+DNM

          • dave mann says:

we will never loose our club chris, there be here a lot longer than me or you or anybody else whos alive today…a bunch of morons are not going to ruin 139 years of history so dont worry yourself on that score. KRO.

          • Chris W says:

Yes, wrong terminology but they can still impose a lot of financial damage that might see us have to drop down before we can rebuild, hopefully I am wrong and they move out soon and we get people in that care about our club as much as we do
            KRO+DNM

          • Staffs Blue says:

It’s extreme I know, but I’d gladly take relegation just to be rid of the current owners. It might take a couple of seasons to regroup and come back fighting under new ownership, but rather that, than spend the next few years slowly rotting away.

          • Chris W says:

I’d prefer Admin, at least we would have a fighting chance of keeping our status, if we went down under new owners at least, hopefully anyway, they would bankroll us for an immediate return as the Wolves owner did.
            KRO+DNM

          • Staffs Blue says:

Either would do me tbh. Anything that get’s rid of the current owners gets a 10 from Len. :-)

          • dave mann says:

it just shows you how bad things were then compared with now….from my sources i dont think things are quite that bad yet chris so lets wait and see because there will be light at the end of the tunnell and throughout the offices once these d–k heads have gone. KRO.

          • Chris W says:

I certainly hope you are right Dave.
Just wonder how long they can hang on to the club, lets hope they go sooner than later.
            KRO+DNM
