Blues Ladies v Notts County Ladies

Both Blues Ladies and Notts County Ladies are looking for their first win of the season as the two teams meet at the Autotech Stadium today.

Notts County Ladies

Like Blues, the Lady Pies have drawn one and lost one in their opening two league fixtures of the season and come into the game looking for their first win.

Rick Passmoor is without former Blues player Rachel Unitt through injury along with captain Sophie Bradley while Canadian midfielder Desiree Scott isn’t available until after the Women’s World Cup. However, former Blues Rachel Williams and Laura Bassett could both feature for Notts County

Blues Ladies

Blues are still short of options up front; Freda Ayisi completes the third match of her three match ban with this fixture while Karen Carney is out with a back injury. Kirsty Linnett has been struggling with a niggly ankle knock and it’ll be touch and go if she can come back into the team.

Against Manchester City Blues lacked an incisive cutting edge; although Mel Lawley worked hard her confidence looked low and she needs to trust her instincts more and shoot when the opportunity arises.

Match tickets are available online here; prices are £6 adults and £3 for concessions with a special family ticket for £15 which admits two adults and two children under 16.

Pay on the day is £7 adults and £6 concessions.

Kick off is 2pm at the Autotech Stadium on Damson Lane. As a personal suggestion I’d say it’s wise to arrive early to ensure you get a parking space.

No Karen carney or maybe Kirsty linnett will be a major blow for the ladies today but lets hope we turn notts county over and get our first win on the board . Kro
