OP Video Podcast – Visiting BIH
Having tried to correspond with the Receivers by email in the past, I thought it would be a good idea to try and speak to them today, to put faces to names and to ask questions about what is happening.
Although I didn’t get to speak to anyone – yet – I’m hopeful that an interview will be set up to try and get at least some information on what is happening. I put together this video documenting how far I got today…
This trip wouldn’t have happened without the support of Blues fans including: Richard Wildsmith, “Eudyptula”, David Pugh, Art Watson, Roger Hooper, Gordon Fletcher, Gary Loveridge, Michael Hancox, G Miles, Neil Pouney, the Blues Trust, Blues Middle East, PJ Planning, Open Tax Services and many others.

Have the triangles had it taken down already?
Pesky scheduling issue with Youtube. Fixed it now.
Working now :-)
Interesting stuff and the good news is that your being received a lot better than before by the look of it.
Good work Dan I like it that your showing us around a bit more and we can actually see “things” like where they are based, where they was based etc etc…you get more of a feel.
It’s truly great to see journalism in action. Promising, intriguing. Might be worth investing in a mic to reduce the background noise BTW!
That was probably the reception is as you expected Dan. The response for a meeting later in the week is good and will represent whether they are appreciate or are apathetic to the club’s support. If I were them I would show respect and use the opportunity to meet and greet and gain some ground with the membership of OP and the 20,000 investors over here.
Looking forward to your next report.
Fantastic investigative journalism keep the hard news coming Dan!
Dan, any chance you can stand somewhere a bit quieter next time you do a report
Like an idiot, I turned the volume up to be able to hear what he was saying… and it just increased the volume of the traffic lol.
Yep me too!!!!lol
HK’s a busy place my friend… that’s the trade off with reporting from directly outside the buildings.
Hi Dan, Doing a good job there. One thing. Have you thought of investing a couple of dollars in a mic to plug into your phone? Would help with the sound quality a lot. KRO
Phone? That my friend is a HD camera specifically designed for video blogging.
What has happened is I’ve not taken the traffic noise into consideration as I’m overly accustomed to it, and the levels have been off while recording outside. I realised this on editing it today and I’ll do a better job tomorrow…
You’ve made the paper… on the internet at least :)

I should hope so, that was recorded for them by me specifically :)
Dan
I hope the Mail contributed to the Kickstarter fund too?
Can’t go into detail but they are contributing. Actually think people will be pleasantly surprised with their output going forwards…
Looking forward to your daily reports lets hope they give you some respect and let you in a little.
Keep it up dan
It would be nice to hear whether Panos has offered any help or guidance to Daniel. Surely he is the one to lean on with all his knowledge of what’s going on.
Just away from HK for a second. Interesting to hear GR comments on Luke Maxwell. As I have seen him play for Kiddy.this season and now their player of the campaign-it is a lovely thought that this player will imo start next season. Strong, visionary Glen Hoddle type with a big heart bluenoses. Could save us a lot of money. Something on the pitch to look forward to.
Hopefully a good offer from TTA, to buy CY’s and PP’s beneficial ownership will enable them to do a quick deal with Randy Lerner!
Today at work an Aston Villa fan was taking the pee out of me saying that he had heard on the radio that BHL had gone into administration and therefore we would be deducted 10 points. Typical of a Villa fan he is not the brightest; as it turned out that ‘story’ he heard on the radio was in fact regarding BHS going into administration. What a twit.
More great work Dan, it’s a pity that our local media reports jack shit KRO
I don’t think that’s necessarily true.
Just watched the video – isn’t technology great. Keep up the good work, look forward to the next video blog if that is the correct terminology.
Nice one Dan just need a lapel mic to overcome the tfc noise and you can be a regular Kate Aidie.lol
Good stuff thanks.
That’s a good shout Stevie, I’ll have a look around for one.
Just curious Daniel. Does wearing a blues top influence anything? I imagined you knocking on doors in more formal garb. This is not meant in anyway offensive. There must be a subliminal reason.
If you knew anything about me Mitchell, you should know I rarely if ever do formal.
Query answered. Thanks and respect.
In no way am I decrying your efforts but first impressions are important and not being suited up may hinder your success. They may see it at unprofessional and/or disrespectful. It just might have opened doors for you.
Nevertheless, sincerely, best of luck in finding out who TTA are
Julian
I’ve managed okay so far :)
so from this then its obvious we are in the mire right now, i bet theres a 50/50 chance blues come out of it in positive manner, by ‘it’ i mean the long struggle bcfc has had for the past half decade.
When you get back to blighty what will have constituted a worthwhile trip in terms of information gathering?
