Hereford Friendly un-Confirmed

It appears that Hereford United have jumped the gun a little when stating that they had confirmed a friendly with Blues on August 4.

Their updated article now states that they hope to play Blues in the pre-season but as yet nothing has been confirmed. As I stated before on here, there is nothing on the official BCFC site regarding this friendly.

Blues have however confirmed that their first competitive match of the campaign, the Captial One cup fixture against Barnet will be played at St Andrews on August 14th at 7:45pm.

edit 11:00 27 June

Blues have also confirmed that they will play a pre-season friendly against Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park on Tuesday 31 July, kick off 7:45pm.

    more lies from Pannu !

O-k;, Surely now is the time to let go of the recent past, We can only hope for the future now,!!.

C,H. has unfortunately gone, [ many thanks are due to him for what he did for us ],

L,C, Now has the job of rebuilding us along with P,P’s, stewardship, — It is now time to STOP CARPING, and ALL pull together for the sake of our club, — Surely,?.

      Hear, Hear!

    • Dodger says:

Pull together yes but under NO FIRE SALE Peter Pan??
Come on its like inviting the burglar in and showing them the combo to the safe.

      • Oldbluenose says:

Dodger;, Explain your comments above please, — I am bemused at your comments mate,!!.

Dodger – im sorry but if you think there has been a “fire sale” you are deluded. A fire sale is when items are sold for way below thier normal value. That has not happened with any player @ BCFC either this summer or last. In fact, we probably got more for Johnson, Dann and jerome than they are worth now. Pannu has done good business and not lied. It’s time people started admitting that they might just be wrong, give the guy a chance and start getting more positive in thier support for the club. OK so Yeung hasn’t turned out to be Abramovich MK2 despite the initial hype and its disapointing, but let’s be reasonable and realistic – there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be challenging for playoffs again this season.

          WELL SAID !

          Fire Sales lol…..:-)

People forget that every player SOLD went at market prices.
And most seem to forget that the players, Bowyer, Phillips etc all went on McLeish’s watch!
          All out of contract.
He chose not to renew and gave Pannu his replacement shopping list, then he went…..

I think a lot of people don’t actually think before the re-iterate the anti-blues propoganda.

In many minds, I think they’ll have forgotten Gardner’s agitation, and later Ridgewells to get a move.
They probably also forget that we actually sold only a few, the rest, the bulk were non-renewers…all done on McLeish’s watch..

          • Oldbluenose says:

Letsby mate;, What you said, was/is fact,!!. Yes, we can all bemoan the leaving of cetain players,!!.

One in particlar for me was Philips, but what has gone, — Is gone, — so let us all agree that we start again as from NOW,!!.

If we can get the transfer embargo lifted and get some decent loans and bosmans in, then theres no reason why we can’t be challenging for an automatic spot!

  • skareggae72 says:

    Dann-Blackburn £5m
    Johnson-Wolves £4m+
    Gardner-Sunderland £6m
    Jerome-Stoke £4m
    Ridgewell-WBA £2m
    Beusejour-Wigan £4m
    Larsson-Sunderland ( bosman)
Not exactly firesale prices, although it would help if clubs were more honest about fees, instead of using `undisclosed`,which often creates fee speculation, also the media do us no favours,eg;Redmond to West Ham for £1m.
Sometimes you dont know who to beleive!

    • Ted says:

The only one that would sell today at those prices is Larsson!

And what about some of the replacements that we brought in for a couple of hundred quid:

Chris Burke, Steven Caldwell, Jonathon Spector, Marlon King… BIG players last season.

A few more like that and Lee will have more than half a chance.

      KRO

Amazing how the blog was about the friendly and the comments went off the track a little.
