Tame the Terriers? Huddersfield Town Preview
Blues take on Lee Clark’s former charges Huddersfield Town at St Andrews on Saturday in the Championship with both teams looking to bounce back from midweek defeats. It will be Clark’s first match against his former club and he is insistent that this won’t be a grudge match after his sacking by the Terriers last season.
Huddersfield Town
Simon Grayson will be checking to see if on loan pair James Vaughan (groin) and Adam Hammill will be fit to return to first team action after missing two and four games respectively. Vaughan was heavily linked with Blues in the summer and no doubt will be looking to prove to Lee Clark if he gets on the pitch what he missed out on.
Jermaine Beckford however will return to the squad having missed out against parent club Leicester City due to eligibility issues and Joel Lynch will be looking for a recall having sat out the last three games suspended owing to a red card.
Huddersfield have lost their last two games, however they are unbeaten away from home in the league since losing 1-0 to Cardiff City on the opening day of this season’s Championship campaign.
Blues
Lee Clark will have a couple of decisions to make prior to kick off in defence and attack, with Will Packwood fit again after a back spasm forced him off early into the first half at the Cardiff City stadium. However, it may be that Clark plumps for on-loan James Hurst to make a home debut as the young WBA player is a specialist right-back. Marlon King is pushing for a recall up front as Clark may revert to a 4-4-2, with possibly Wade Elliott making way in the middle of the park and the possibility of Nathan Redmond getting only his eighth league start for Blues instead of Peter Lovenkrands.
Clark will be looking to sign off this section of the campaign before the October international break with a win to push Blues further up the table and to help wipe memories of the 5-0 mauling by Barnsley in the last fixture at St Andrews. With a bigger crowd expected due to various special offers the hope is that blues will return to the side which had lost at home only twice in the last season and a bit.

What a load of rubbish. Zigic should never where the shirt again & if Clark had anything about him he would resign tonight. Division One here we come if he stays.
Sorry I meant wear the shirt. Stupid predictive text!
Only one way to go. Down under this regime
Yet another lack lustre display from a team devoid of confidence on their home ground.
Clark will be gone before Xmas
Poor performance, probably only worsened by that of the officials: surely it’s time D’urso was put out to grass? Very unlucky with Redmond’s shot against the post though and their keeper made a couple of good saves especially the one at the end from Elliot which prevented us from taking a perhaps undeserved point.
i cant see how this can go on , if you compare our squad to the other teams in this league we should be top 10 easy ,Clark has to go before its too late to save our season.
