Referee Watch – Andy D’Urso
Barring any late changes, Andy D’Urso of Billericay will be in the middle for Blues’ Championship game against Charlton Athletic at The Valley today. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr D’Urso has been in the middle in twenty-six games this season, showing a total of fifty-seven yellow cards and five reds. Of those games, eleven have been in the Championship and in those games Mr D’Urso has cautioned thirty players and sent off two.
Last Blues Game Refereed
The last game that Mr D’Urso took charge of was the 1-0 home defeat to Huddersfield on October 6 2012. In that game he booked two players – Paul Robinson for us and Jack Hunt for the Terriers and sent off second half sub Nikola Zigic – which sadly the Serb striker deserved.
Last Championship Game Refereed
The last game at this level that Mr D’Urso took charge of was the 2-2 draw between Peterborough United and Burnley on February 6. In that game, Mr D’Urso cautioned Kieran Trippier and Jason Shackell of the away side. D’Urso comes in for some heavy criticism from the Peterborough Telegraph for denying the home side a penalty and not taking charge of the game whilst the Lancashire Telegraph made no mention of his performance.

I groaned when I saw his name, but then , thinkingvback to the games I watched him on TV, he didnt seem as bad as he used to be.. I thought he had a good game in the Huddersfield game..
He is clueless. Hope he cocks up in our direction this time!
