Chinese Media: Minor Court Victory for Carson
In recent weeks I’ve posted a few articles about Carson Yeung being in court in a civil suit over money he allegedly owes to a guy called Weng Shibing with regard to Carson’s purchase of SMI Publishing.
It’s a case that’s been going on for a long time now, and it was back in court yesterday as Weng is trying to force Carson to hand over a luxury apartment as payment. However, it appears Carson has won the latest battle on a technicality as Weng did not file the correct paperwork, and now Carson (and his ex-wife Li Wing Sze, who is his co-defendant) is asking for Weng to pay his legal costs. As usual, the judge has adjourned it for a little while longer to have a think about it.
This doesn’t really affect Blues in honesty, but what it does show is that court cases are never a foregone conclusion – I understand some fans have this feeling Carson will be found guilty of the money-laundering charges he faces but until the judge decides we don’t know for sure.

affect even….
pass the soap Carson!
I suppose thats a confidence booster for Carson, he cant be in the best mental state at the moment.
Must be gutting for Weng… its like doing your monthly shopping then forgetting to your pin code when you come to pay, scholboy error!
Can we call this a plus point in Carson’s glittering career?
Getting off money laundering charges on a technicality won’t wash (excuse the pun) though with Blues fans in general.
I’ll want to see an innocent CY back at St. Andrews: innocent by trial and verdict, or not at all.
