Carson Trial Date Set

The first news has broken when Carson’s trial on charges of money laundering will be heard, and for Bluenoses hoping for a quick resolution it’s bad news.

The Sun (Hong Kong, not the red top here) have published that the trial will start November 28 2012, and will last for fifteen days. Until the Carson remains on bail with sureties totalling HK$11million

As always, please be careful in your commenting, and as more information comes in I will update.

What bad news is that. Another year of rumour and speculation to endure. Goodness knows what it means for #bcfc

  • mickey07 says:

like someone said on sha, surely something will have to give now??????

  • Steve G says:

Thats ages, why so far away? What will this mean for Blues? Are Carsons assets still frozen for all that time? Can Blues to sold to someone else before carsons trial or not?

Why so far away? – I’m guessing it’s the first period the court had where there were fifteen days consecutive (which is what prosecution reckons it needs, minimum) for the case to be heard.
What will this mean for Blues? – More uncertainty and doubt as to what is going to happen? More fears of administration
Are Carson’s assets still frozen for all that time? – Yes
Can Blues be sold to someone else before Carson’s trial or not? – I believe so – it’s whether someone will pay the price that Carson will want. If we go into admin, I think it would be more likely.

  • Kaje says:

    Please, sell up.

You’ve taken us as far as you can now that your assets are frozen, thus meaning another year of selling and very little strengthening.

It’s been an emotional ride, but I really can’t wait to see the back of you.

  • Bluenosesol says:

    Guys ADMIN surely looms??

  • I Roth says:

This is awful news. why doesn’t Carson tell us his plans. We are in the dark grouping for any available news when none is forthcoming. Pannu as his spokesman should now lay all the facts before us so we know where we stand. If its bad then what can we do. The uncertainty is the most dreadful part.
    Speak to us Mr Pannu.

  • Al-lad says:

Troubling times, players will have to be sold so Blues can run as a going concern, it appears things are going to get a whole lot worse, I still don’t see the club going into administration, but the playing staff will be reduced and our ability to compete in the Championship is surely going to be affected. Fan power is needed now, more than ever, time to back the team, not the board.

  • Obviously this is bad news but let’s not forget Carson owns a part of Blues 20 odd percent (I’ve seen reports saying 23% and 26% ??)

This means that some other ‘rich’ people own the other 70 odd percent. This question has been asked before and I will ask it again …..

Where are these people when the club needs financial help ?

  • David flanigan says:

Is there any way we can set up some kind of fans consortium and raise money between us fans to raise money to invest ? Then at least as a group of legit shareholders we will be kept in the loop ?

  • JC says:

To our Chinese owners, the club is a business. Selling player like Gardner, Dann and Johnson plus others without giving Hughton cash is all about them making a profit. I bet that there is no debt and we will magically come out of financial troubles just like Mike Ashley at Newcastle.

  • Wingman Blue says:

Carson & Co. appear to have milked as much as they can from their ownership of BCFC. With a global financial meltdown looming, it would make sense for him and his pals to cash in their chips sooner, rather than later. Time for them to take the money and run. Good for him, good for us.
The trick is though, how we convince them of this?

  • Dirty Bertie says:

    As you were.

We’ll have a better idea after January and when/if BIHL accounts are issued.

Now, what will Yang Yue-zhou do-di-do-do-do?

  • […] Now? Yesterday’s news that Carson will not stand trial until the end of November 2012 hasn’t gone down well with […]
