Vaughan Signs

James Vaughan has become the first signing of the winter transfer window, signing on loan until the end of the season with a one year permanent deal agreed after that. The 27-year-old former Everton man has failed to hit the back of the net so far for Blues in six appearances while on emergency loan but supplied the ball for Maikel Kieftenbeld to score the winner in the last home game against Brentford

Clough, Buckley and Brown

Birmingham City have been linked with a few names to come into the club. Bolton’s young forward Zach Clough has been linked with a £750,000 move to the club while Will Buckley has been told he can leave Sunderland and it’s been reported Blues are in for him.

Vaughan and Halford in

Birmingham City beat the transfer deadline to sign two players on emergency loan yesterday. Gary Rowett brought in 27-year-old Huddersfield Town striker James Vaughan and 30-year-old Rotherham United defender Greg Halford on temporary transfers until January 2.

Blues linked with Italian Defender

Birmingham City have been linked with Italian centre-back Simone Benedetti ahead of the January transfer window. The 23-year-old defender is currently with Serie B club Cagliari but having made only two sub appearances this season could be on the move.

Lowry signs

Birmingham City have today announced the capture of free agent Shane Lowry following his release from Leyton Orient. The Australian defender played 40 games for the O’s last season but couldn’t prevent their relegation to League 2.

Two out on Deadline Day

Transfer deadline day is done and dusted with Birmingham City being involved in just two deals, both of which saw players leave St Andrew’s. Goalkeeper Nick Townsend has signed for Barnsley for an undisclosed fee while striker Wes Thomas has moved on loan to Swindon Town until January 2016 with no recall clause active.

Blues close in on Danish Striker

Rumours have surfaced that Blues are aiming to sign 22 year old Danish striker Nicolai Brock-Madsen from Randers FC of Denmark. The Danish U-21 striker was believed to be heading to FC UFA in Russia but it appears Blues may have stolen a march on him.
