Easter News Roundup
Easter has been weird this year, falling on the international break. It’s normally a time where there is a flurry of games in quick succession which can make or break a season – this year the only thing that I’ve seen broken has sadly been Jack Butland’s ankle in England’s excellent 3-2 win over Germany.

Hull Reflections
A deflected strike from Jon Toral was enough for Birmingham City to beat Hull 1-0 at St Andrew’s as Gary Rowett’s men reignited their playoff chase in front of the Sky cameras. Hull hit the post and the bar in the first half and had claims for a penalty in the second as they pushed hard for an equaliser.

Bolton Reflections – Winning Ugly
Birmingham City got the win they wanted against Bolton on Tuesday night thanks to Clayton Donaldson’s 29th minute winner – but they could and should have more against a Trotters side that looked devoid of hope.

GAMEDAY – Derby Away
Blues head to Derby today to face a Rams side that dropped two points in the corresponding fixture last year after conceding two goals in injury time, infuriating the home support. Can Blues go one better this year?

Injuries and Squad Depth
Defeat in the FA Cup to Bournemouth means that for the first time since 2009, Blues aren’t in the hat for the 4th round draw. Although that’s somewhat disappointing, what’s more worrying is that once again Blues have picked up injuries – and in an area where they don’t have so much cover.
