Another Win for Blues Ladies
A late Charlie Wellings goal secured another victory in front of a record crowd for Birmingham City Ladies which elevated them (albeit briefly) to third in the table. In a game a little devoid of quality there were few chances for either team and in the end it took a bit of luck for Blues to finally break the deadlock.

Blues Ladies exit cup on penalties
Birmingham City Ladies exited the SSE Women’s FA Cup at the first hurdle on Sunday having lost 5-3 on penalties to Arsenal. Charlie Wellings who came on as a 119th minute sub was in tears after hitting the post with her penalty which was the only miss in the shootout.

A resilient Bristol Academy Women defence held against everything Blues Ladies could throw at them last night in an entertaining goalless draw at the Autotech Stadium.

Brave Blues Ladies Bow Out in Tough Conditions
Birmingham City Ladies bowed out of the FA Women’s Cup following a 3-1 quarter-final defeat to Manchester City Women. Goals from Duggan, Parris and Scott were enough for the hosts to win the game although Blues Ladies had a brief moment of hope when Coral-Jade Haines made it 2-1 late on.

Blues Ladies Hold Tyreso 0-0
Blues Ladies held Swedish team Tyreso FF to a creditable goalless draw in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Semi Final first leg. The Swedes started as favourites but couldn’t break down a determined Blues side that could have even nicked it at the end.

Birmingham City Ladies Into Last Eight of Champions League
Blues Ladies are through to the quarter finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League after steamrollering Russian side FK Zorkiy Krasnagorsk 5-2 at St Andrews last night to win the tie 7-2 on aggregate. Goals from Izzy Christiansen, Kirsty Linnett (2), Kerys Harrop and Mel Lawley assured that David Parker’s team would be in the hat for draw on November 22.
