Birmingham City Ladies went into the mid-season break on a high with a tense 1-0 victory over Notts County Ladies. Remi Allen scored the only goal of the game, poking home the rebound after Jo Potter saw her effort saved by Lady Pies keeper Carly Telford.

Blues Ladies Draw With Reading
Blues Ladies might have reason to be a little bit disappointed with a scrappy draw against Reading Women at the Autotech Stadium on Thursday night. Despite chances for Freda Ayisi and Jade Moore they couldn’t capitalise on long periods of superiority and had to take a share of the spoils.

Signings, goals and non-announcements
Birmingham City have confirmed the signing of Jon Toral on a season-long loan from Arsenal today. The 20-year-old midfielder scored six times on loan for Brentford in the Championship last season, making 34 appearances.

Blues Ladies Hold Tyreso 0-0
Blues Ladies held Swedish team Tyreso FF to a creditable goalless draw in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Semi Final first leg. The Swedes started as favourites but couldn’t break down a determined Blues side that could have even nicked it at the end.

The Lisbon Dance: Blues Ladies v Tyresö FF Preview
Tomorrow sees Birmingham City Ladies take on Tyresö FF of the Damallsvenskan in the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi final. The Blues ladies are just two matches away from the showpiece final in Lisbon next month and will be hoping for a good result to take to Sweden next week.

Blues Ladies Win Champions League QF
Birmingham City Ladies qualified for semi-finals of the UEFAWomen’s Champions League yesterday after beating Arsenal 2-0 at the Hive to win the tie 3-0 on aggregate. Goals from Kirsty Linnett and Remi Allen in the first half ensured the win and Blues will now face Tyreso FF of Sweden in the semis.
