Keep, Sell or Release – Defenders
With the end of the season nearing and with so many players out of contract I thought it would be a good idea to go through the squad and analyse who I think we should keep, who we can get away with selling and who needs to be released. This is the second of five installments of that analysis.

Cold, on Sky and at Home. Boro Preview
Blues face Tony Mowbray’s Middlesbrough for their third game in six days and their second in front of the Sky cameras. After a better performance against Blackpool in the second half saw Blues pick up a point the question is whether they can finally start winning at home starting tonight.

Long Term Contracts Equal Short Term Suicide
It emerged yesterday that the former Fulham, Portsmouth and West Ham midfielder Papa Bouba Diop is training with Blues with a view to being signed. Carr Out For Six Months
This morning Tom Ross broke the sad news on Twitter that Stephen Carr has been ruled out for six months having had to have an operation on his knee. The club captain had been back in full training after recovering from a thigh injury sustained in the opening minutes of the pre-season friendly against Royal Antwerp but had to see a specialist after his knee became swollen. It’s a bitter blow for the Irishman and the question has to be asked if this is the end of the road for Carr.

Gossip Folks – The Transfer Rumour Mill (Summer 2012 Edition) Round Up
Well, the window has now slammed shut and hopefully the speculation of players leaving will be subdued for a while. Despite worries of a fire-sale Jack Butland, Curtis Davies and all the rest are still with us; in the end it was just a loan-swap with Swindon full-back Paul Caddis joining Blues and Adam Rooney heading to Wiltshire.
