Development Squad in Heavy Defeat to Leicester City
An inexperienced Blues u21 squad were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by their Leicester City counterparts at St Andrews today in the Professional Development League.

Pro Contracts for Four Academy Players
Birmingham City have today confirmed that four youngsters are to be given their professional deals by the club. Reece Hales, Nick Townsend, Charlee Adams and James Fry are all to get pro deals whilst Jean Kalenda has been given an extra year’s scholarship.

Sky Blues Come Back to Beat Blues Development Squad
The Blues Development Squad went down 2-1 to local rivals Coventry City in today’s development squad fixture after leading by an early Akwasi Asante goal.

Close Win for Blues u18 in FA Youth Cup
Blues u18s made it through to the last 16 of the FA Youth Cup with a tight 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers at Damson Parkway last night. A Reece Hales penalty was all that separated the sides in an even encounter with chances at a premium.

New Kids in for the New Year? Cardiff Preview
The first game of 2013 for Birmingham City sees Blues welcome top-of-the-table side Cardiff City to St Andrews. Having tasted defeat on Saturday which dropped Blues to 20th in the table Lee Clark will be looking for a better performance from his side this time out.

Revenge of the Teenagers? Barnsley Preview
Blues will be looking to avenge the 5-0 thrashing at St Andrews when they travel to Oakwell today. Keith Hill’s Barnsley side have suffered of late as well and it could well be an interesting scrap as both teams fight to avoid being in the relegation mixer.

Blues Academy in FA Youth Cup Win
Blues u18 side progress to the next round of the FA Youth Cup after a highly enjoyable 3-1 win over neighbours West Bromwich Albion. Goals from Deqwon Ebanks, Charlee Adams and Reece Brown saw Blues through as they dominated their near-rivals.

Tough Draw for Blues Development Squad
A scrambled goal from Papa Bouba Diop rescued a point for Blues Development Squad against Barnsley at the Wast Hills training ground yesterday. Barnsley took the lead late in the first half through Jordan Clark before Diop’s effort on the stroke of half time levelled things up.
