The Receivers of Birmingham International Holdings have today informed the Stock Exchange that they have appointed Goldin Financial as Financial Advisors to the company.

BIH: No Discussion With Any Parties in Relation to a Sale

Birmingham International Holdings have today confirmed to the stock exchange that the sale of BCFC is still “a last resort” to the receivers and no discussions have been entered into with any parties over the sale of the club.

What’s Going On? An Analysis of Carson’s Latest Move

Lawyers representing Carson Yeung were in the High Court yesterday to make an application against Birmingham International Holdings, the receivers from Ernst and Young and the share registrars Tricor Tengis to prevent the sale of Birmingham City by EY, to force through the EGM he requested in December and to examine the share register.

When is a bid not a bid?

Jeremy Wray has been vocal in the press in the last few days about a bid being made for Birmingham City. While trading in BIH shares has been halted pending a “clarification” of an announcement, I wanted to touch on the whole issue over what constitutes a bid, and maybe shed some light on why BIH have not been responsive.

Indian Website Takeover Hoax

News seemed to break earlier of a takeover of Birmingham City by an Indian consortium. The news, purporting to come from Indian newspaper The Indian Express said that brothers Shashi and Ravi Ruia were going to buy out Birmingham City and keep on Peter Pannu in a role of MD.

The Birmingham Mail have reported that Wray has stepped down from the board for “personal reasons” but remains very much a part of the group.

Jeremy Wray Quits

Documents have been filed with Companies House showing that Jeremy Wray has resigned his directorship of Soccer Management Worldwide. SMW was the company that announced to the Birmingham Mail that it had made a bid for Birmingham City in May.
