Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw was placed on the transfer list yesterday at his own request as the Welsh striker confirmed he was looking for Championship football. Predictably, this has once again led to a number of Blues fans asking why the club have not put in a bid for the young striker.

Blues Convincingly Win First Friendly

Birmingham City were 3-1 victors in their first pre-season friendly against Solihull Moors at the Automated Technology Group Stadium last night. A brace from Clayton Donaldson and a close range finish from Diego Fabbrini in the first half took the game away from the hosts who replied in the second with a good finish from one of their seven trialists.

Carson Yeung Loses Final Appeal

Carson Yeung was sent back to prison this morning as it was confirmed that his final appeal against his convictions for money laundering had been dismissed and that he was to serve the remainder of his six year sentence.

The Carson Trial: Final Hearing Date Set

It’s been confirmed by the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal that the judgement in Carson’s appeal against his convictions on five counts of money laundering will be handed down on Monday, July 11 with the hearing beginning at 10am HKT (3am BST).

Birmingham City have taken former Dutch international Dwight Tiendalli as they ratchet up their pre-season training in Marbella. The full-back was released by mutual consent from Swansea on September 1 last year and hasn’t played a professional game since turning out for Middlesbrough on loan in the Championship against Brighton in May 2015.

Shotton In

Blues completed their second signing of the summer, bringing in Ryan Shotton from Derby County for an undisclosed fee. The 27-year-old defender played nine games on loan for Blues last season, scoring once and has signed a three year deal at St Andrew’s.

Denny Departs

It was confirmed yesterday by Blues that Denny Johnstone has left the club for an undisclosed fee to join Colchester United. The 21-year-old striker had spent the last season on loan at Greenock Morton where he had scored 17 goals in 43 appearances.
