Demarai Gray’s long-rumoured transfer away from the club has finally come to fruition; Reece Brown is on trial at West Ham seemingly much to the consternation of many fans and now David Cotterill is being linked with a move away to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Purpose and Goals
Birmingham City consolidated their position just outside the playoff zone on Friday with a scrappy 1-0 victory over Cardiff settled by a somewhat disputed penalty scored by Paul Caddis. With just under half the season gone they lie in seventh, a point behind Ipswich and still in contention for a chance of post-season glory.

Cotterill injured, Jones Loaned Out.
Birmingham City have confirmed that David Cotterill will be missing for at least a month having picked up a knee injury in the game against Blackburn Rovers. The Welsh international was withdrawn from his international squad to face Netherlands this week due to injury but will now likely miss more time than first anticipated.
