The Contract Situation
Whilst player contracts pretty much always finish at the end of June, football clubs have to notify players by the third Sunday in May whether then intend to retain them with a new deal or not. As that date is this weekend, I thought it might be pertinent to take a look at the contract situation at Blues.

Returning from Injury
Blues have announced at the press conference held at the Wast Hills training ground yesterday that several players are coming into contention for places in the team after injury. It’s good news for Blues bearing in mind how stripped down the team has been at some times, but should they just be thrown back in?

End of the Road for Stephen Carr?
News broke on twitter yesterday that Stephen Carr has had to have an operation on his knee, which may rule him out of the remaining eight games this season. With Carr’s contract ending at the end of this season, the question has to be asked – is this the end of the road for Blues’ club captain?
