Who is Yang Yuezhou? Pt II
Judging by the amount of emails I get and the google searches that have led people to this site, it appears that this “who is Yang Yuezhou” is still a question on some fans’ lips. There is an absolute dearth of information about Mr Yang in the press, so I’ve spent some time trying to piece together a bit more about him and his business interests, in the hope of working out if he really is our “billionaire” white knight saviour.

Chinese Media – Debts and Yang Yuezhou
Yesterday, I linked the news from China that Yang Yuezhou had loaned BIH around £6mil, and had taken the vice-chairship of the board, as well as installing two placemen. Unfortunately, I’ve now seen in the press the reason for this infusion of cash – and the bad news is BCFC aren’t going to see a penny of it.

More on (ex)Mrs Carson Yeung – Li Wing Sze
Last Monday I posted a snippet of news concerning the former Mrs Carson Yeung, Li Wing Sze. Although it’s tangential to Blues, a bit more has come out today and I thought it was worth making a note of on here.

Chinese Media: Further investment rumours
There has been talk of more investment on the way for BIH/BCFC on various forums, and tonight I picked this up from “Apple Daily”, in Hong Kong.

Carsongate: A look into the world of (the ex-)Mrs Carson Yeung (Li Wing Sze)
As you may know, one thing I’ve tried to do is to research more into Birmingham City’s owners and their business dealings. The info for this article is a bit tangential to Birmingham City, but I thought I’d post about it because I thought it would give an insight into how convoluted business can be in Hong Kong, and because I thought it would be good background to Carson’s current legal case.

BIH Update – more from the Chinese Press
Yesterday I published an article about Birmingham International Holdings raising money via a convertible note issue for £6mil. There has been a little bit of news about it in Hong Kong, so I thought I should try and update people.

BIH to raise £6million
BIH have made an announcement (pdf link) to the HKSE this morning of an intention to place just over £6mil worth (HK$79.5mil) of convertible notes in the company in an effort to raise cash.

Money like Water… An Investor Update
I’m a bit late to this one, as the picture has been floating around since last night. However, I’ve seen it mentioned on a few forums and I thought I’d talk about it and the story behind it on here.

New Investor Update
Less than an hour ago, this story appeared in the Hong Kong Daily News (the newspaper which I originally got the story of possible investment in Sing Pao/BIH).
