Negativity
Wavering Faith
Birmingham City crashed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers at St Andrew’s on Saturday. A first half opener from home debutant Che Adams was cancelled out by second half strikes from Joe Mason, Danny Batth and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.

The Future
Birmingham City blew a two goal lead to draw with Preston North End at St Andrew’s last night. A brace from Clayton Donaldson had put Gary Rowett’s men into a good position but late goals from Alan Brown and Greg Cunningham ensured Simon Grayson’s team returned north with a share of the spoils.

Home Form Blues
Birmingham City were consigned to a twelfth home game without a win after losing to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday. A brace from Ravel Morrison was enough to hand three points to the visitors and Blues now have to face an in-form Burnley side on Wednesday as they look to stop the rot.

Negativity Monday
If a defeat to Yeovil Town on Saturday wasn’t depressing enough, reading this morning that Southampton may be bought out by China’s richest man Wang Jianlin really stuck the boot in. It really is a case of “look what you could have won” for Birmingham City as it was rumoured in Hong Kong only last year that Carson Yeung was trying to get Wang interested in buying Blues.

Begging For Scraps
Blues find themselves with a free weekend due to a quirk of fate that sees their FA Cup third round opponents yet to be decided due to inclement weather on the south coast. However, two recent players in Dan Burn and Aaron Mclean both start for their parent clubs in the Cup as their respective managers take a look at them before deciding if they can stay longer at St Andrews.
