Sticking it to Mick – Ipswich Preview
Mick McCarthy starts his reign at the Tractor Boys with a trip to St Andrews to take on Blues who are on a high after beating Leeds United last weekend. Will the new manager be able to breathe new life into Ipswich Town or will Blues be able to continue their revival?

Into the Lions Den – Millwall Preview
Blues travel to South London to take on Millwall looking to build on a decent result against Leicester City. Kenny Jackett’s side will also be looking to consolidate after drawing with form team Crystal Palace and to avenge last year’s 6-0 mauling.

Tame the Terriers? Huddersfield Town Preview
Blues take on Lee Clark’s former charges Huddersfield Town at St Andrews on Saturday in the Championship with both teams looking to bounce back from midweek defeats. It will be Clark’s first match against his former club and he is insistent that this won’t be a grudge match after his sacking by the Terriers last season.

Long Term Contracts Equal Short Term Suicide
It emerged yesterday that the former Fulham, Portsmouth and West Ham midfielder Papa Bouba Diop is training with Blues with a view to being signed. Whilst there is certainly nothing to suggest that Blues are going to sign the Senegalese player nicknamed “the Wardrobe” I’m of the opinion that even looking at him shows just […]

Blues to Out-pace the Trotters? Bolton Preview
It’s the turn of Owen Coyle’s Bolton Wanderers to visit St Andrews tonight with Blues looking to build on the draw to Nottingham Forest at the weekend. Bolton haven’t won away from home this season and they will know that if they are to regain their Premier League status that they are going to have to pick up points on the road.

To Play or Not to Play? That Is The Question
Today sees the final friendly of Blues’ pre-season and the only one at St Andrews, against Royal Antwerp of Belgium. It promises to be an interesting game with it already being confirmed that Jack Butland and new loan signing Ravel Morrison are to play for the first time at St Andrews.

Gossip Folks – The Transfer Rumour Mill (Summer 2012 Edition) Pt II
Last week was quite the week when it came to transfers – four players and a goalkeeper coach in, three on trial and none out. So how did the media do?

Gossip Folks – Summer Edition – Week One
It’s actually been a fairly quiet start to the summer edition of the rumour mill experiment, with only three stories I have picked up from the nationals about transfers out of Blues players – not quite a fire sale yet.
