Indian Website Takeover Hoax
News seemed to break earlier of a takeover of Birmingham City by an Indian consortium. The news, purporting to come from Indian newspaper The Indian Express said that brothers Shashi and Ravi Ruia were going to buy out Birmingham City and keep on Peter Pannu in a role of MD.

BIH Delay EGM For a Second Time
Birmingham International Holdings have once again delayed an EGM to obtain shareholder approval for a new convertible bond. A circular was due to be dispatched to shareholders today with details of the EGM but it has now been put off until October 10.

SMW and Pannu
Soccer Management Worldwide are reported to still be keen on a deal to buy Birmingham City despite the departure of Jeremy Wray from the board of the company. The Birmingham Mail have reported that Wray has stepped down from the board for “personal reasons” but remains very much a part of the group.

Inverness, Facebook and Tom Ross
Birmingham City completed their pre-season campaign with a 3-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday. Goals from Lee Novak, Demarai Gray and a Paul Caddis penalty were enough to ensure Blues kept their 100% pre-season record in tact.

Lifelong Birmingham City fan Darryl Eales became chairman of Oxford United over the weekend having taken a stake in the club of between 30 and 50%. This morning’s Birmingham Mail has the story about Eales having previously been in negotiation to buy Blues over the past year.

Rumours of HKSE Investigation Into BIH Over Delayed Accounts.
Sources from Hong Kong indicate that Birmingham International Holdings have been asked to answer questions surrounding the prolonged audit for their 2011 accounts. The accounts in question were finally released a year and a half late amid controversy over a consultancy agreement between Carson Yeung and Peter Pannu.
